Highly recommend this fantastic auto feeder
I couldn’t be more happy with a feeder than I am with this one. I found it on Amazon a few weeks ago and I knew Prime week was coming up, so I put it in my cart. It came up for a fantastic price during Prime week, so I went ahead and bought it.First of all, the setup was really simple. Put 3 D sized batteries in the bottom in case of a power outage. Anyway, pairing the feeder to the PETLIBRO app was also easy to do. I can monitor feeding times or even use the “Feed Now” function and tell the app how much food I want to drop into the dish.It’s very well constructed and quite sturdy. It can hold an entire bag of cat food, though I only used half a bag. The functionality of this product is impressive.I recommend ordering some desiccant bags from this products manufacturer as they should probably be replaced every few weeks to keep moisture out of the cat food. The unit came with 1 for initial setup.Within the app, you can even have voice communication with your cat when you’re not home at feeding time. A two way microphone, if you will.Overall, an excellent product and a fantastic price during Prime Week. I highly recommend this product especially if you’re going away for a weekend, or work long hours.***Side note, you will be probably want to have an SD card laying around or just buy one on Amazon. If you put an SD card in it, you can record video, depending on how you’ve done your settings. Mine will automatically record 30 seconds when a scheduled feeding happens, or a manual feeding, or when the cat triggers the motion activation on the camera. I attached one such video to my review, and a still photo and screenshot of the app.

Works well so far, no unnecessary features
We feed our cat dry food in the AM, and wanted an auto-feeder so she wouldn’t associate us with breakfast and wake us up with meowing. We didn’t need wifi, cameras, or anything else that could break or malfunction or complicate things – just a feeder where we could set the time and the portion size, so this fit the bill.Pros:• It was easy to set up the clock and set schedules and portion sizes while following along with the manual.• I also like that pretty much every piece that touches the food can be washed including the container and the silo that pushes the food out. You have to wipe out the chute manually since it’s attached to the electronic part which is no big deal.• It runs without the batteries in, but I like the battery option for going away just in case the power ever went out when we weren’t home.• I unplugged it once to add a longer power cord and thought I would have to reset the whole program, but after about 20-30 seconds it automatically maintained what I had already set, which is nice.• Our cat isn’t a food fiend so hasn’t tried to break into it, but the twist lock on the top seems like it would prevent that pretty well.• One portion is about 1/8 cup of our kibble. The small 3L size holds a surprising amount of food and using the smallest portion size 2x per day, should last at least a month’s worth or more.• We’re transitioning our cat from the dry food she had at the shelter to one that’s a bit more high quality and using this has made it a breeze to transition slowly over the month – I simply added her old food at the bottom, a mix of the two in the middle, and the new food on top, so each day a little bit more of the new food gets mixed in.Cons:• It’s a little rough to take the container off the base, and twist the silo part off as well – I split a nail in the process! Someone with mobility issues or neuropathy would likely have a tough time.• Wish the cord was a little longer. It’s a bit under 5ft and I needed 6 to secure it along the wall and make it look nice where I wanted to place it, so I had to buy a longer one. It’s also a USB-C to USB-A cable which makes it bulkier where I need to plug it in.• Wish it had a “skip” or “hold” option. While learning our cat’s habits I sometimes manually dispensed a portion but would forget that the timed one was still coming, so she’d get extra.Misc/Overall:Didn’t use or need the recording feature, since our goal was to not have her associate us with food, so can’t speak to that. I bought a pack of desiccant packets from another brand which I’ll plan on swapping out once per month. I’d also recommend manually dispensing a portion or two the first time you fill it/whenever you refill it until the food comes out, because the first one came out empty – the food needs to make its way down the chute, and then it works fine. Overall we’ve only had this feeder for a short time but it seems to be functioning just fine.

This automatic feeder was originally purchased because we had a trip out of town for the weekend and we just got our cats from a rescue. I would highly recommend this for people with one to two cats most times cats don’t like to eat the same bowl, but my cats are pretty chill and will share or just come down at different times.ProseAssembly was pretty straightforward and easy the food I buy really works with the distribution during the lot at times they have a total of seven times a day that they can be fed and you can portion out those feedings differently for each time. I try to give my cats wet food in the morning, but allow them to eat throughout the day with four other feedings until midnight. I like the amount of food it can hold as well as the sounds you can program in. I also like that has a working digital clock and it has a freshness packet at the top so the food doesn’t get stale. I replaced my large manual feeder with this one just so I could keep the food fresh whenever they eat, I like the color I like the design. I think it’s very sleek and modern. I’m really happy with this purchase. The user manual is very informative and well written. Because of the material it’s made out of it stays pretty clean. My cats are a little messy and like to pull the food out of the bowl so there’s lots of little bits around, but that’s just my cats.ConsThe only con I would have to say is there should be a sensor that sounds some sort of alarm when it’s run out of food. The portion controls are not expounded upon in the user manual. I wasn’t sure what zero one was versus 10 was the bowl is not large enough to have a lot of portions, overflowing it And it seems the food comes out in seconds so if you put it on one second it will drop food for one second if you put it on, it will be the equivalent of counting to 10 and allowing the food to fall into the bowl. I suggest this for one to two cats only because if your cats are like mine, they will share, but I’m not sure what you would do. If you had more than two cats would they be intelligent enough to one eat at 12 and another one eat at 1 o’clock, I don’t know Especially if you have different dietary needs for each of your cats. I would be sure to make sure this is a fit or maybe they have a different version of this automatic feeder where the bowl is maybe oblong and will allow two cats to eat at a trough. I don’t know. Lastly, I do wish the Cord was a little bit longer. It does have a slot for batteries, but I don’t want to forget to change them so I keep mine plugged in and luckily there is a plug in my pantry.Overall, would purchase again 10 out of 10 and might make a really good gift for the cat person in your life.

Works wonderfully. Consistent, up to 4 meal times a day. Easy to program. I wouldn’t bother setting up the voice, it’s very loud every time and cat responds to good noise. You can’t delete sound and taking batteries out doesn’t reset.For my cat, food storage lasts 3 weeks and cat can’t get in. Running off batteries also great if no powerpointI’m using in Australia and works great. Power is a usb end so you just need to pickup a $5 usb power point, or just use your phone one.

Nice and easy to use feeder, with camera that you can see through an app. Really nice to have feeder which has allowed us to easily portion control our cat which needed to eat slightly less. Camera feature is great for when you out of the house and need some reassurance your cat is still getting and eating it’s food! Being able to easily change the portions and schedule is great from the app, rather than having to fiddle around with any buttons on the device. Does seem to occasionally go offline for a while, not sure if this is from software updates, but happens every few weeks

It is a great pet feeder. You can either plug it in or use batteries. The light disturbed me at night but if you use the batteries and unplug the pet feeder there is no more light!The design is really pretty and discrete. I have not tried to put it in the dishwasher yet but it’s fairly easy to clean.Love it!
