Go for it
Works very well indoor and out. Easy to set up/adjust and customize. I will say it is NOT racoon proof – Not a flaw of the design, more a testimony of racoon ingenuity. I had this outside and built a simple wood enclosure that was screwed into our porch – That did NOT stop the critters from trying to get in but they were unable to. As an inside gadget, perfect. Definitely keep batteries in it in case of power outage so there’s no lapse in feeding times. Love the USB power. The custom feeding message is helpful; there’s some pavlovian power at work there.

This feeder is great! No more cats under foot each time I enter the kitchen. Cats have learned the schedule and allow me to enter/exit kitchen at will. I increase the servings in order to travel, the pets are fine. I have 2 cats and the feeder is sufficient to travel for up to 10 days. But I use it all the time, just feed smaller servings. Really was a game changer for me

Timimng and food drop work great
The automatic feeder is easy to put together, took a couple minutes longer than I anticipated to program (probably me and my poor eyesight), and the time and timing are on the dot every day. To make the voice/sound call for the cats, I had to yell at the system in order to get the playback loud enough for them to hear a couple of rooms away. I have 2 very large 8 mo kittens, the bowls are too close together for their liking. Also, as they eat, they push the food forward. That causes quite a bit of it to end up under the spill way, making it inaccessible. I am going to try to lift the bowls a bit so gravity will pull it down to the front, or just elevate the whole thing yo give better access to the food at the back.

Works great! Such a game changer. I dont have my cats yelling at me every time I go in the kitchen now hahaThe voice option is a little quiet though… my only complaint but its honestly not even an issue. The food dropping into the bowl is loud enough for them to hear and come running.

Great feeder!! I really like the fact that you can set up to 4 different times for it to dispense food! It is really nice looking too. As soon as my cats hear it dispensing they all run to it to eat lol. I also appreciate the size of it, it holds a lot of food and keeps it fresh! Also super easy to use. Would for sure recommend and buy again

Bought this to help with one of my cats, vomiting issues. The vomiting has not completely stopped, but it definitely has lessened. Love how this enables you to choose how many times a day to feed as well as portion size control.

Set it and forget it with peace of mind
Perfect from when I had to travel and leave my little fur babies alone for a few days. Even though I had someone check on them daily, this made feeding the cats a whole lot easier on the sitter. She literally did not have to do anything other than just make sure that they actually ate food. I was even more pleased when I had less work after I came back from the vacation. It really is kind of a set it and forget it until it’s time to replace the food. Not recommend using all four feeding time. Recommend two feedings, and ensuring that feeding has enough food in each setting so not over or under feed. Also if you live in a multi-dwelling apartment and know that little critters can come to your place, just make sure you give enough food for that feeding time and not more. Did you leave school there? You do invite unwanted guests. So again, be mindful of the amount of food that you provision in one setting.

Purchase the 3-year Warranty
I got the feeder a few months ago and it worked perfectly with the timer and the portions! However, I would suggest paying for the 3-year protection plan; Last week, it just completely shut off. Initially I thought it was the cube I was using (it was not) and then I thought maybe one of the cats nibbled the cord making me think that maybe it was just dead but that was also not the case. I purchased a new cord and still there’s nothing, no lights no glitching.. nothing. Again, it worked perfectly fine prior to last week so if you have 2 cats and need a feeder to keep the babies fed, this is a good option!

ORIGINAL REVIEW (after 1 month of use) – “I am very happy with the product. It works well with Royal Canin Veterinary Dental food which is shaped almost like a cube with the large side having 13 mm square sides and the depth having 9 mm sides. It probably works because these kibble’s are all very uniformly sized and are very solid and do not break up at all in their journey from the top of the machine to the bowls at the bottom. Regarding those that complain that some food accumulates under the spouts, my cats have no problems with this and in one swipe of their paws they move the food back to front of the bowl. My last criteria for a successful purchase is longevity and reliability and I really hope that this thing works many years and that I can depend on it for small weekend trips away from my cats.”UPDATE – After 5 months of use I must conclude that this machine is not reliable enough for me. Over the last few months it has been occasionally blocking (probably every 2 or 3 weeks on average) which necessitates manual intervention to unblock it by emptying out all the food and pushing the blocked kibble out (there’s usually just one piece that seems to be causing the whole blockage). This makes it unsuitable for use when I go on vacation and so I am currently looking for an alternate solution that will work with my relatively large sized cat kibble.
