I love this brand
I swear by this stuff. I had to really hunt it down because I remembered how good it was years ago when I worked for a dog breeder. It has maintained that quality since. This spray gives my dog a beautiful shiny coat and really helps moisturize her skin during shedding season. It smells nice also. I bought the gallon because it’s a good value overall, but keep an eye on the price because it fluctuates on here. Regardless, I recommend specifically Kalaya Emu Oil to all my friends with dogs.

Got the right stuff
I ordered the emu oil spray, but got a bottle stating that it was emu oil shampoo. I was disappointed but figured, oh well, I’ll just try it. The directions said to get the dog wet and work it into a rich lather. Well, the liquid is obviously not shampoo — there was no lather. The liquid it is milky and runny and does not produce lather but sprays nicely. I’m hoping it’s the actual emu oil spray in a miss-labeled bottle. If this is the case, I’ll use it. I’m hoping the company can contact me.UPDATE: I wound up returning it, only because I’m not sure what’s in the bottle. I ordered a replacement emu oil spray.UPDATE 2: The right stuff came this time and I’m happy with it. It helps keep my dog’s fly-away hair tamed and shiny and is a great addition to her daily brushing routine. Smells nice, too.

Good Skin Repair
Very good spray. I love Emu oil and it’s benefits. Has significantly cleared up my dogs skin condition, the hair is growing back and areas of inflammation are healing and decreasing, and this after only two weeks of use. I highly recommend this product. I have tried others that did not meet my standards. I will order again.

We have three dogs, two shelties and a saint. One of our shelties is from show bloodlines and has a thick coat. In fact if her coat curled a little she’d resemble a sheep. She had such dry skin she’d rub against the furniture & walls and looked like she had dandruff. No bugs just dry dry skin. A Bernese breeder friend of mine also suggested “fur butter” for really dry coats. I took the emu oil and the fur butter to the groomer to try. I thought who better to test dog products than a groomer? And I’d rather not wrestle a wet St Bernard in the bath tub. The groomer tried this on the saint and the sheltie with the lighter coat. It gave their coats a nice shine and smells pretty good. For my sheltie with the extra heavy coat and dry skin this product wasn’t intense enough a conditioner. The fur butter worked much better and I heard that great pyrenese breeders/show folks are using it to soften the heavy coats. The emu oil spray works nicely if your dog has a normal to somewhat dry coat but for the more extreme, try the fur butter.

Kalaya Emu Oil For Dogs
This is an excellent product for providing moisture for a dog’s sensitive skin. It is especially good for dogs with light or pink skin.If you have a very active dog or you live in a rurual area where you must shampoo often, then you’ll want to use this excellent oil to keep your pet’s skin and coat in good condition.It hinders irritated skin and soothes insect bites. I’ve been using this product for three years now on my two ShihTzus Hampshire and Darby.It smells wonderful and it is not too oily. The spray bottle is high quality and does not clog, drip, or malfunction.I paid $12.00 for a small bottle at the pet spay, but I found it on Amazon for pennies per gallon. I simply refill the smaller bottle and store the larger.When we’ve been out trecking through our 5 acre rural FL farm Darby & Hampshire might pickup a flea or tick. I wipe Darby & Hampshire down with a paper towel & rubbing alcohol.Then I apply the Emu oil and brush them with a flea comb. The oil slows fleas & ticks down for easy removal and disposal.My vets recommend bathing Darby & Hampshire every 2 weeks. This is an excellent solution for in between bath time.If you see your pet scratching, give them a rub down with a cleanser or alcohol then spray and rub in the emu oil. They’ll love you for it. Caution: Not for ears, eyes or face.

My 10 month old puppy has severe itching owing to allergies and has not been able to use normal conditioner, using this in conjunction with emu oil shampoo leaves his long coat lovely and soft, smelling nice and no itching.
