For more than poison ivy!
I purchased this product last year when I got into poison ivy, but when I had an allergic reaction & my hands broke out in an itchy, red rash, I tried this product & it worked great. This purchase was when I ran out of the other bottle I used up. This is a good product to keep on hand for more than poison ivy.

I do not like it.
It is a spray. You have less control than with a cream. It is mostly alcohol. I can not tell any effect.Even Milk or Coffee would have been better. I am an herb person. I did not do any better with Yarrow.I did not get the Yarrow though as it had alcohol in it. For this I got in spite of that. The alcohol is suppose to help also butso does milk or coffee or aloe vera. I use aloe vera most the time. I think mine is old and so weak. I might need a newer bottle.Lye Soap does work well. I just had a crazy idea that an extra think might be good.As for the other reviews. I do not believe the 5 star reviews at all. The one star is probably honest but there should be some good from this but I do not think it is worth using as the spray is hard to use and you must be real careful with it.I also do not like the odor. The odor is terrible. It is very hard to use. The only thing I can tell it does is to help with the itch.It might lead to spreading the poison ivy depending on what else you use. Example if you use lye soap it could open the sores and this would mix with it an cause it to spread.I just do not like it.

great for treating poison ivy.
This product works great for poison ivy. Although you can spray it on it does drip quite a bit. I usually spray it into my hand and rub it on so that it won’t drip.

Only thing that keeps the itch away
This is by far the best product I’ve found to stop poison ivy from constantly itching. I’ve tried several products in the past and this is the only I’ll use now.

this is the perfect solution, and I absolutely swear by this product
I have bottles of these stashed away in case of a poison ivy emergency. For minor outbreaks, this is the perfect solution, and I absolutely swear by this product. For major poison ivy cases… better skip the herbal stuff and see your doctor asap.

didn’t really work…in fact, it made it worse!
I get super miserable when I have poison ivy…and this time around the patches weren’t huge, but they were scattered all up and down my arms and a couple on my legs. I haven’t slept through the night in weeks…so, in reading on the internet, I saw that jewelweed is supposedly a near-miraculous natural remedy…so off I went to the closest natural foods store…I bought this product along with the Burt’s Bee’s poison ivy soap. I was so excited at the possibility of relief that had been promisted to me that I sprayed it on the affected areas as soon as I got to the car. Unfortunately, it kind of stung and seemed to make the rash worse. It definitely spread after I applied the Herbs, Etc Ivy Itch Releaf spray. I persisted for another day, just in case it needed time to work…I never really had better results, so I’ve gone back to my frequent super-hot showers, and today I finally broke down and got some clear caladryl/calamine lotion. And if all else fails…I’ll just bring a bag of frozen green beans to bed with me. 😀
