GREAT PRODUCT, WELL DESIGNED AND MADE
These things are great! And they have improved our lifestyle, cat wise. We have two kittens, (9 & 11 months old). They got into the habit of waking us up at 5:00 AM, about 1/2 hour before we were ready to get up. Now, we have the first meal programmed for 5:30. Instead of waking us up, they just go downstairs and wait for their breakfast, with no interaction from us.We have 2 of these feeders and it was easy to synchronize them so they will dispense at the same time, (programming these things for 4 meals per day is also easy, if you read the simple, well-written manual). The cats each use their own feeder, side by side, without fighting.These feeders are well constructed (for their price). They have been absolutely reliable, feeding the cats four times per day, without fail. We feed each cat 1/8th of a cup per feeding, but you can feed up to 5 cups at a time, (or go down to 1/16th of a cup per meal, by switching to another gizmo inside, which is included with the feeder). The hopper is large and will go about 10 days without re-filling, at our rate.We keep ours plugged into the wall outlet, but each unit has three D-cells to run on battery if the power fails, or if you don’t have AC power where you place these, (I have no idea how long these would last on battery power, alone).The cats can’t get to the stored food inside. Perhaps a really aggressive, muscular dog could bust this thing all to heck, but no domestic cat could. Our mellow, golden retriever leaves these things alone.We pay a lot of attention to our indoor-only cats: grooming them, playing with them, checking their health. But these feeders free us from the chore of feeding them every day. And I think they are happy, they aren’t constantly urging us to feed them – they know exactly when they will be fed and they no longer have to be anxious about eating. So the cats are more relaxed and owning the cats is easier for us. We will soon go on vacation for 9 days. We have someone who will check on the cats every day and clean the litter box. The cats will still get their meals when they expect it. All is good!Conclusion: These feeders are well made, reliable, easy to use, intelligently designed – 5 Star products.

Excellent pet feeder – used outdoors for feral cat
I am extremely happy with the quality of this automatic pet feeder. We use it to feed a feral cat at our cottage because we aren’t always there to feed her. It dispenses a meal for her everyday at a scheduled time. We built a wooden box around it so wild animals don’t take it or destroy it. We like that the food container holds 25 days worth of food (@ 1 cup/day). Also, it has battery backup that kicks in during power outages. A great feature is the secure closing lid that takes 2 hands to open and all the programmable buttons are located inside the closing lid. Therefore, wild animals would not be able to open the food container or mess up the programming. The instruction book is easy to follow and the machine is easy to program. We’ve had it outside 2 months and it’s holding up great and keeping the little cat fed. She’s actually trained to arrive right at feeding time now! The only tricky thing was that the servings in the programming are measured in metric units, which we aren’t well-versed in. So it took a little practice until we found that 8 servings equals 1 cup. This is an excellent automatic feeder and we highly recommend it!

Peace of mind with this feeder
I have a cat who likes to overeat. A normal gravity drop feeder did not work well when I went on vacation. When I would return after a few days, the food would be gone prematurely because she gorged herself and then upchucked the food nearby. That was my main motivation for purchasing this product, and what a perfect solution!This feeder is well worth the price, because now I can regulate her serving sizes. The programming setup is super easy, both in the initial setup and to change the schedule. There is a manual setting to give an extra portion for when she needs it. I used it more the first few days until my cat got accustomed to the feeder. She has yet to overeat and get sick. She is learning the time schedule of the feeds and has no difficulty in transitioning to it. It gives me peace because she doesn’t bother me as much when she is hungry, which used to be about 6-8 times a day.I can also reprogram the feeding times to space her meals more consistently, so that she doesn’t get hungry.An unexpected bonus is that I can program it to give her food before I wake up, so now I can sleep in longer in the mornings. That alone makes this feeder worth its weight in gold.I do like my recorded voice that goes off before it dispenses and draws her to the feeder. I would suggest a simple recording.It will go off for each serving portion allotted. (For example, if you program the food portion for a #4 size, this audio recording will go off 4x as it dispenses. Not a big deal tho).It allows you to program a max of 4 feedings, plus unlimited manual feedings. I have it set up for battery power, as my electricity does occasionally go out.The food tray is easily detachable, good for cleaning. Because the tray is a good size, I am also finding that I am not constantly picking up dry catfood off of the floor. It is much neater eating.Would I buy this product again? Yes yes yes!!!

Escogí este alimentador por sus buenas reseñas. Llevo una semana con el y al principio a mi gato le espantaba el ruido cuando salía la comida y no le gustaba la grabación de voz entonces eliminé la grabación y reemplacé la pieza de abajo (vienen dos piezas incluídas, una para mascotas grandes y otra para mascotas pequeñas) y ahora ya come sin problemas. Tiene buen sistema de cerrado y es fácil de programar. Se puede usar con el cargador de batería o con 3 pilas tipo D (que no estan incluídas) yo preferí ponerle las pilas para no tener que estarlo cargando. Cumple muy bien su función.

I have used an automatic feeder for 6 years and think they are great. I purchased another one after my first one died and it was awful so I got my money back. I was leary purchasing this one but I am pleasantly pleased. It drops at the exact time and dispenses the correct quantity. I kept measuring it for the first few days and perfect every time. It holds quite a bit of food so you don’t have to keep filling it up. The dish is a bit shallow but other than that works great. I would recommend this machine.

Works as advertised. Bought 2, for 2 cats, and they have been working with no problems for over 6 months now. My only, small, complaint is that you have to choose between using battery or plug-in power – you can’t have it plugged in with the batteries serving as back-up in case of a power failure. Would buy again.

Bought this for a little group of feral cats. I recorded a message and it only took a couple of hours for them to recognize my voice and come running. Like that you can adjust the number of portions and it’s great that it holds so much food. Especially when I am away. A Good Buy

At the beginning, it works well. But after few months, it stops following the schedule and do noy stop feeding. This results in the food being stuck and very unusual load noise. Tried to reset twice, not solving the problem at all. Pretty sure there is a problem with the controlling unit.
