    Get it!
I was very skeptical about this product, I am pleased to state that it really works! I have a young female cat who has always had issues from an early age with the litter box (litter texture and scents) since I litter “boxed” trained (it was a low lipped training tray) her after their eye opened. I tried plenty from type, texture and litter scent and no scent, litter box covered and uncovered, invested in an automatic litter box ($500) to be sure she had a clean place every use, even a pheromone plug in for soothing and calming where her litter boxes were, a litter box set in the bathroom just for her, oh my gosh so much with little to no success. She kept going to the bathroom in the same wrong place. Finally, I stumbled on to Dr. Elsey’s Cat Attract Clumping Clay Cat Litter, read a lot of information and reviews, and decided to give it a try along with changing the box from plastic to a stainless steel (I went with a high wall open top). It worked right away, first use!! It has been over a month now and she has been doing great with the change NO accidents.I didn’t notice any dust, it is very easy to scoop, hard clumping (so much better than Tidy Cat Multi-Cat) and I have no issue with odor. This product was really worthy of the value and peace of mind.

    WORKS GREAT
It WORKS..I have 8 cats,I rescue cats. One of those has feline leukemia and has started using the bathroom outside the litter box. Then one of my cats became diabete and she started using the bathroom outside of the litter box. I had tried everything I could think of. This works from day one. In 2 weeks I have had to only clean up one mess and that was the first day. So it’s great to get your cat back to using the litter box again. BUT it doesn’t clump hardly at all. The pee goes straight to the bottom of the litter box. It’s so hard to clean became it’s like concrete. I put this litter as some extra boxes for them. The all want to use the new litter. I use tofu litter in my other litter boxes so I don’t think I can mix the new litter with the tofu litter. But it’s great to not have poop and pee everywhere. I don’t know if I just go back to my regular litter it the cats will go back to using the floor again. Has anyone ever went back to their regular litter? Did the cats do ok ? Help

    My Vet Recommended
I love this stuff. When I had 3 cats, my vet recommended it to eliminate territoriality of the litterboxes (used 2 boxes for 3 cats) The third cat arriving late in the mix was not liked and trouble hit the litterbox with misuse of the boxes and eliminating waste on the floor instead of the box. This combined with the 2nd litterbox solved all problems. Just adding a 2nd box did not. Now that I only have one cat I reduced boxes to 1 and tried cheaper grocery store brands of litter. She used it, but I as the cleaner of the box did not. Even the ones marked as unscented still had a distinct odor and did not absorb as efficiently. I now use this litter exclusively and I am happy with it as is my one remaining cat.

Impressed as a first time cat owner
So first of all I’m a first time cat owner. The cat was originally a stray and vet estimated her to be 5-6 months. The first night I had her I had pine pellets. She pooped right outside the litter box but peed in the litter box so she knew where to go. I thought maybe she didn’t like the pine and switched to this one. She used it to poop within 30 minutes of putting it out. I have had no accidents since switching to this whether poop or pee and cleanup is a breeze. It clumps very well and there is no smell. I can’t compare to other kitty litters but I don’t care to try anything else

Used this when litter-training – NOT USUALLY RECCOMMENDED FOR NEONATAL KITTENS!!!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Some issues I have with this litter is that if they are REALLY young kittens (like if you start litter-training them right at 3 weeks) I worry about it being a clumping kind of litter (like imagine if young kittens accidentally eat CLUMPING litter with how curious they are; it can clump in their GI tract & be fatal). I highly suggest if you *DO* want the easy cleanup clumping litter provides, maybe do a light layer of this underneath/mixed with larger natural based pellet litter instead & monitor closely or make sure they’re on a scheduled potty time where you can watch them for a week or 2. (it’s usually recommended that while training you use a natural nonclumping litter like pellets or corn-based litter & a very shallow cardboard box they can easily step into, then you can easily throw the whole thing out after when it’s full). As they get older tho they might start digging more (whether out of boredom or playing) and kicking it around so it WILL create mess (kinda unavoidable), so keep that in mind as well. I think ours started doing that at about 7 weeks. The mess is not fun for sure and we did have issues with them accidentally stepping in the wrong spot after they’d use the bathroom sometimes for a little while so that would track gross mess too. The good things about it tho is the kitten attract DEFINITELY works because it was not difficult training them at all (although we did train them kinda later at 5 weeks instead of 3-4) they took right to it and had no issues making a habit out of going in the litterbox (getting them not to play in it was another issue lol). The clumping of course does make the clean up very easy; it’s very absorbent. The odor control is as good as it can be when you have 3 kittens lol like as long as i’m on top of scooping we’re good on the smell of course. Please just wait til their about 8 weeks as advertised on the package before using this for your kittens. go for pellets or corn-based (just anything natural and NON-clumping) for neonatal kittens younger than 8 weeks!!!!

Great product. I have two kittens. One of them does his business perfectly fine, but my little girl prefers to poop and wee in the shower tray. We tried everything. Eventually we bought this, it’s so expensive, but it does last ages. She still poops in the shower tray, but she now wees in this litter. It clumps very well. It doesn’t track too much, but my boy kicks it everywhere.I’d highly recommend giving it a try if you’re having problems. We get about a month out of one box for 2 kittens; which I suppose isn’t too bad.

My cat was constantly peeing outside his box. Ever since getting this litter, that has changed. I don’t know what’s in it but he is literally attracted to the litter. Any time we add more or bring out the box to clean it, he’s in there shortly after. If you have issues with your cat going outside their box, I’d definitely give this a try. It also clumps the pee up very well, which is nice for scooping!

This totally worked to help train new kitty to use his litter box. He was using our bathtub when we brought him home and this worked at the first try!

This litter is the only thing that’s convinced my cat to use her litter boxes instead of my bed. She likes it so much she just lays in it.
