Do not rely on this to feed your pets!
This does not work. It went past zero and never opened. Then I tried setting it to one hour and it open at 32 minutes. Then the third time I set it to 3 hours and it clicked to zero and got stuck and the lid didn’t open. Do not use this to feed your pets…at best it’s a random treat dispenser!

I got these for the sole purpose of feeding my cat wet food when I go out of town. There are two of them included in the purchase. One works smoothly every single time, and the other one does not. The one that is dysfunctional may not pop open when it is supposed to, but a light tap on it or even something that bumps the floor will assist it in popping up. I’m sure that is great for a cat who figures it out and desperately wants the food.The time spins counterclockwise, and I found that it is best to spin it in the same direction, even though you can set the timer in either direction. I did notice that the one that works has a dial that feels firmer when setting it.The ice packs are tiny, so I followed someone else’s advice in their review and froze the wet food to give it a longer time to thaw while it sat there waiting to be eaten. This seemed to work well. While not perfect, these are great and I will be using them every time I go out of town and feel even better about knowing my cats are cared for.

Good customer service
Company has emailed several times wanting to be sure I am satisfied with their product. They are sending a new unit for me to try. I will update once I try the new unit. Timers are unreliable. Sometimes the feeder opensOn time sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes the timer has run down to zero but lid didn’t open. Lid opened on time but timer kept running.

Good Product Minus Ice Packs
Overall this helped solve a big issue for my wife and I when it came to our cats waking us up early for their wet food. The only reason we took a star off is one of the ice packs broke within a few uses of the devices and now we only have 1 ice pack. This product worked a lot better than a similar one that broke within a few weeks of using it.

This works great however the numbers and arrows in the dial are very dark and hard to read. Should be a different color. Also dial is hard to turn but I like it.
