Great Feeder for the Money.
Great feeder for the money. Easy to set up. I made a few modifications to the legs. Each leg has four sections that just slide into each other. If you move the feeder, the legs slide out and separate. I put them together, drilled a hole at each joint, and used a 1/4″ x 2″ bolt through it with a lock nut. The feeder doesn’t come with a battery. So I ordered a battery and a solar charger and I mounted the solar panel on the side of the feeder. On the first fill, I loaded 100lbs of corn…about half to 2/3 full. Its been in use for about two weeks, feeding three times a day. First feed runs for 10 seconds, the 2nd and 3rd feed runs for 5 seconds. Corn is getting low, probably have a few days left. I’m pleased with the whole set up. A good buy!

Long. Long review.
This feeder is reasonably well built for the cost. I did get the solar panel and battery set up too. I did follow some of the suggestions in previous reviews. Before you get this feeder go get yourself some 1/4″ x 1″ bolts (20 pack is fine), some good nylon locking nuts for the bolts, strong roll of duct tape and a tube of outdoor rated clear silicone. Also, some fine grit sandpaper. The lid didn’t fit very well due to shipping and cold, it was very warped. I put the lid on the top half so that it was on there as well as you can get. I then took all the leg boxes and a few weights an put them on top of the lid. This was enough compression to make it sit on it correctly. I then took a heat gun (hair dryer could also be used) and gave it a good warming up. I then let it sit for about 2 hours. Then I did it one more time for good measure. After the cool down period all warps were gone and the lid fit very nicely. On to the assembly. I roughed up the surface of where the barrel halves go together and wiped them down with an alcohol wipe. I then put a fairly good bead of silicone between the two halves of barrel and then tightened the bolts just enough so the silicone would squish a bit. Wait about 12 hours or so. Tighten the rest of the way. While you are waiting on the silicone to cure you can prep the legs. The legs are very loose fitting. What I did was put a couple small chunks of duct tape on the top of the leg that fits into the other leg. Probably over kill but I then duct taped the 2 legs together. Trust me this will come in handy at set up time.So directions say that you need 2 people to set this up. However, I didn’t have anyone that could drive all the way out to our property when I wanted to set this up. I found no issues setting it up this way… I drive a bigger k2500 pickup. So I put the feeder on the tailgate and drove out to the spot I wanted to set this up. If you scoot the feeder close to the end of your tailgate, you can attach 2 of the legs in full sections (2 sections of 2). From there you can just grab the other full section of leg and at the same time grab the feeder right at where the leg fits into and pull towards you. It will slide and pivot on the 2 legs already on it giving you enough space to slide the last leg in and make it stand up.This thing is very tall. Way taller than it looks in pictures. Since the truck was right there I backed it up about 2 feet. I’m not the tallest person (5’8″) and standing on the tailgate of my 2500 I still had to put the 50# bag of corn over my head and stand on my tip toes to load this thing up. I may end up taking off 1 post on each leg to make it easier to load. For now I am just going to leave it.If you get the solar panel, don’t use the included attachment screws. Mark where you are going to put it and drill out the 2 holes with a 5/16″ bit. Use the same bolts from earlier. Use the included rubber washer and put that on your bolt from the outside. Then put your nylon locking nut on the inside. This thing really slings the corn out there! I hit the test button and walked about 20 yards away to go check the game cam and I was totally being pelted with corn. It is pretty loud and will probably make any critter run off. Set the feeding times for when you know there will be nothing around.I will update this review in 6 months with how good this stands up to a North Dakota winter with blizzards and high winds. So far, so good. This could change.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reliable, Easy to Use, and Works Like a Charm!
I’m really impressed with my Wildgame Innovations automatic timed deer feeder! It was simple to set up, and the timer works perfectly, releasing feed right on schedule every day. The build feels sturdy and weather-resistant, and it runs quietly — the deer caught on fast!I love how consistent and reliable it’s been, and it saves me so much time compared to manual feeding. Whether you’re managing a food plot or just enjoy watching wildlife, this feeder is well worth it. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a durable, hands-off feeder that actually does what it says!

This is a good value.
This is a good value for the money. Assembly is pretty easy if you carefully read the instructions. Fitting the legs together is a little vague but with some thought you can figure it out. The height can be adjusted from about 5ft to 10ft high by adding or leaving off sections of the legs. Just be sure to have it high enough that animals can’t get to the motor and feed spreading mechanism. Mine will throw feed out to 30ft. You can set it to feed up to 4 times a day. Each feed time can be set to run 5, 10, 15, or 20 seconds. Setting the clock and different timers is a little complicated. If you know what times you want to feed and how long you want each setting to last, then it’s easier to set up the timer before installing the timer in the unit. At least it was for me! Be sure battery has a full charge. My battery last about a month between charging, since I only feed twice a day with 15 seconds duration on each feeding. When you have to take the battery out to recharge, then you have to reset the clock and all timer setting. The clock mechanism does not retain a memory when the battery is removed. I think there is a solar panel you can buy to keep the battery charged. If you want to spend the extra money and go that route, it would probably be worth it in the long run. It’s a real hassle for me to reset the clock and timers every time. Also it would be much better if the manufacturer made the angle of the drop shoot a little steeper, because when you get down to about the last 6 inches of feed, it tens to hang of the sides and won’t empty completely leaving about 2 more days of feed clinging to the sides at the bottom because there is not enough down force pressure left to cause the feed to come through the bottom drop hole. Maybe that part could be designed a little better. It will hold a lot of feed. I usually dump 3, 50 lb bags in the top and there is still plenty of room for another half bag. Just don’t know if the legs will support that much weight. It says it will hold about 220 lbs, but I wouldn’t go much over 150. After all this thing is some kind of poly plastic, not steel.

Poor quality
Legs are wobbly.Lid hinge rivets do not fit. You’ll need to drill the holes larger.Lid latch is poor quality. Should have a clamp to keep the lid secured.Spend the extra money and get something nicer.

Assembly was easy I haven’t had the chance to put it at my hunting spot yet but it sure seems to be doing the job.I plugged in a batery and was able to test it out, works great and the timer setup is not intuitive but still very easy to setup once you play with it.To my sruprise the system is far higher than what I thought at least from what the picture shows but it’s a nice surprise.I bought the Moultrie Solar panel and will see how this works out.Edit**I’ve put it at my hubting spot with corn in it I can say it throws the corn quite far. I needed to remove a few legs extension in order to have corn not thrown 20′ on each sides. I assume it would be perfect in an open field my spot is kind of small with lot of bushes. It will still do the job wonderfully

Had the feeder for a year now, for the most part it has been a decent feeder. Feeder assembles very easily and is quick to complete. The overall height of the feeder is good, and feed dispersal provides a large arc around the unit, programmed timer works as it should, with no issues. The one draw back on this units is the 4 plastic legs which support the spinner/battery box, these are made of plastic and 2 of the 4 have cracked through. Currently I have mine ‘wired up” to hold it in place, which works but is not ideal. This plastic bracket should really be made out of stamped metal which would provide greater support to the suspended load. For this reason I rate it between 3-4 stars unfortunately, if it wasn’t for this issue it would be a deservable 5 out of 5.Update, fixed the issue with a couple stainless bolts and nuts. Again the root of the problem is the plastic that the controller and battery are housed. If this were made of metal the rating would be much different, unfortunately to save a buck they opted out for plastic, which just doesn’t stand up to the use.
