Q1 Why doesn’t anything happen when I press the button on the UGREEN FineTrack for the first time? A1 The insulation film must be removed first. Once removed, the product will automatically power on with a beep and indicator light. Q2 Why doesn’t the tracker update its location in a timely manner, or why has it not updated for a long time? A2 The tracker works by broadcasting a signal to nearby Apple devices, which then encrypt and upload the data to Apple’s Find My network. This process does not support real-time updates and depends on the density of nearby Apple devices and the update frequency of Apple’s system. In areas with low Apple device coverage, update speed will be slower Q3 Which devices are supported for pairing with the tracker? A3 Supports pairing with iPhone/iPad. A single iPhone/iPad can pair with up to 32 trackers. Not compatible for pairing with MacBook, but MacBook can still view the tracker location in the Find My App. System requirements: iOS 14.5 and above / iPadOS 14.5 and above / macOS 12.5 and above. Rescued my luggage from the depths of Newark
As I was preparing for an overseas trip, I happened to see a ZDnet article about Apple AirTag alternatives. This Ugreen tracker was highly rated, and quite a bit cheaper than the Apple branded AirTags. So I decided to invest a little bit on the chance that they worked sufficiently well.Fast-forward to my trip to Europe, through Newark New Jersey airport at the height of their air traffic control issues this spring. I got transferred to another flight, assured that my bags would follow me, and off I went.Arriving in Berlin to discover thanks to this AirTag that my luggage was still in Newark, New Jersey. Fortunately, having that piece of information allowed the airline to more readily located and get it to me as quickly as possible.They were really easy to set up, and I like the fact that we can change the batteries out, or even turn them off if wanted.They are definitely a good value as an alternative to Apple AirTags.

No precision finding. Deal breaker for me.
Great for the price I got it for ($9.99) but dissapointed in the lack of the Ultra Wideband (UWB) chip. No precision finding (no pointing directions nor distance to the tracker) is a big deal breaker for me. I wouldn’t be able to find my keys or any other small item since it will just show a general area of where it is located. Might be good for tracking something bigger like a car but for small items that can fall between the couch cushions is a no-go.Setup was easy, design is nice since it’s compact, but lack of functionality makes me want to return it and get another original AirTag.

Lokalizator bardzo dobrej jakości oraz funkcjonalności. Trzeba tylko mieć na uwadze fakt, że to nie jest 1:1 alternatywa dla AirTaga. Nie ma tutaj obsługi ultra wideband, czyli nie działa funkcja bardzo precyzyjnego lokalizowania urządzenia, znana z AirTagów.Oczywiście można użyć sygnału dźwiękowego i w ten sposób zlokalizować “igłę w stogu siana”, ale to nie jest taka sama funkcjonalność jak UWB w AirTagach. Jeżeli to komuś nie przeszkadza, to śmiało można brać ten lokalizator, bo jest naprawdę bardzo OK.
