My dog’s original dental bones were out of stock, so I tried these. He loves them.

Fine for Smaller Dogs
You can see my picture here that the treats are about the length of my finger and about an inch wide.This makes them a bit too small for my larger dog.So i’m about eighty pounds.They can quickly just get stuck in their mouth or in the corner of their cheek.And so these would be best suitable for smaller dogs who are less than eighty pounds.Maybe like ideally around thirty to forty pounds.I would think when I was looking at the ingredients, I was quite disappointed to see that.It’s very similar ingredients to some of the cheaper treats.I gave my dogs so at this price point for only thirty treats.I’m probably going to stick with the treats.I usually give them so overall.I’m a little bit disappointed because I was expecting a lot better from this brand I usually really like to preen a pro plan items.I give my dogs the pro plan food.However, for the treats, i’m risk gonna stick to the cheaper brand that I usually give them.

Noticable difference in just one chew!
I am super impressed with these dental chews for dogs!These dental chews are a great size. They are not a super long lasting chew, but they are more than enough to last a few minutes, and more importantly, make my dogs super happy.Both my Belgian Malinois and my extremely picky Border Collie happily eat these treats, taking them to their beds and gobbling them up immediately when I give them their daily dental chews.My dogs love the odor, but thankfully I cant really smell anything from them. And I have a pretty sensitive nose as far as human noses go, so I am really grateful the smell isnt offensive, yet my dogs still love them.I love that these are a Purina product, so I know it is developed with leading veterinary professionals and trusted to be safe and effective.I have genuinely noticed a difference in how clean my dog’s teeth are, even after just a single chew! My almost 5 year old Border Collie’s breath (who has never had a surgical dental cleaning or had her teeth brushed on a regular basis) is significantly less offensive already.I am super excited to see how much these help after using them every day over time, since they have had such a big impact in only a single use.Overall, I love these, and my dogs do too! I will definitely be buying more!

Good but dogs stomach couldn’t get used to it.
My dog immediately ate this within a few minutes of us getting the package, he is a German Shepherd, so I didn’t take him very long to eat one full one. We did, however, notice in the coming days that he started to have a lot of very stinky farts and some diarrhea. I understand introducing the new food can cause this, it did last over a week so we discontinued the chews. Overall, I have to say if your dog is used to food like this or this brand, this would be a good buy, unfortunately for us we are not used to this brand and his stomach said no.While, I do believe this is a well-made product. I have nothing wrong with the fact that it’s a good brand and seemingly a good treat for helping clean the teeth. My review is based on our dog’s experience and introducing something that he’s not used to. I also think that even though it says for small medium dogs, our dog ate that’s just fine. It was very quick so probably needed a larger bone for a better cleaning, but he did enjoy eating it. I don’t believe there was anything wrong with the product, he just has a more sensitive stomach so due be aware if your dog has a more sensitive stomach.

A hit with my finicky dog!
My fur baby is nearly 3 years old. She has gorgeous teeth, and I work to keep them that way. When I saw these dental chews, and checked out the ingredients, I decided they were for her. The question was, would she be for them? Spoiler alert: she loves them!As soon as I said the word treat, she was next to me checking out the package… see photo! My 75 lb half Husky half Great Dane anxiously awaited my opening the package. As soon as I open the package and inspected the product, I carefully held one out to her and she immediately took it and went to work.I’m very pleased with these Purina Pro Plan veterinary diet dental chews. They have a good amount of protein, and the texture seems to help clean her teeth. She is normally quite finicky about anything she puts in her mouth, but she loves these.If you’re unsure whether or not your dog will like these dental chews, all I can say is they passed my fur baby’s taste test.At just over $1 per treat, they’re a bit pricey, but you can rest assured they are from a brand you can trust. These are a great companion to her Purina One kibble diet.

Helping puppers breath smell better
I ordered these because our dog has been having some halitosis – had her checked out by vet to make sure it wasn’t her teeth – vet said her teeth were prone to build-up and tartar, and to try a dental chew. Our girl is pretty picky about her snacks – she has a texture issue- and she immediately took to these. She perks up every time I go near where the bag is stored now. I’ve been giving her one every other day, and she likes them a lot. It takes her a little bit to chew them up, but not long – she’s always been a super chewer, so I didn’t think they’d last even a minute, but something about these makes her actually chew, so great job, Purina! They seem to be helping with her dog breath, which is all I was hoping for. And, no bad reactions in the potty department, either – so far, so good!

Higher Quality for a Higher Price
I ordered this Pro Plan Veterinarian Diet Purina Orachews for my mixed rescue pup. She’s 50lbs and I know these are rated for smaller dogs, but she had no issues.These are a decent size and it kept her occupied for roughly 15 minutes or longer (she is not an aggressive chewer). They had no major smell and seemed of good thick quality. No digestive issues, but I’m also not sure of any dental benefits as of yet.I’m not sure if I would continue to order as the price seemed high to me. I would probably keep using what I currently use for her oral health over these purely for the price difference.
