Easy to assemble! Cats love it! The ball does fit if you build it with that in mind! Just slide the top piece down a bit and put the ball inside! Cats love it!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My cats absolutely love this cat scratcher! It was really easy to put together and looks great when finished. My only complaints about it would be the last the sticky adhesive provided so the scratcher can stick to the wall doesn’t last more than a day and that it is quite messy as the cats scratch it so be prepared to constantly be sweeping or vacuuming up cardboard pieces. I am curious if there are refills for this scratcher because if not, it seems to be kind of a waste considering it is a nice wood frame.

Top notch scratch post
When I opened this and realized it was some cardboard – honestly I thought I got ripped off. In fact, I’ll be honest I left it in storage in my basement for three years. When we finally got it out and put it together, it has been one of the best things that we have ever used for our cats. Highly recommend the scratcher. They broke them on their habit of scratching on one of our old chairs.

Worth it
Real good value for the price, my kitten loves it and immediately started scratching it aggressively, the ball toy inside is a nice touch to get cats interested. Kind of wiggles around the place despite the anti slip padding but it’s no big deal. Pretty durable as long as you insert the screw properly the first time.

No replacements
While this is a great scratching post, I did not realize that there are no cardboard replacements shaped to fit in it. Had I known this I would not have bought this one. The wooden sides become useless after the cat uses it all up. It would be better if you sold the cardboard inserts shaped to fit it so it’s more eco friendly.

Moving into my new condo, I purchased several great options to scratch, including a fancy large Pet Fusion cardboard lounge, a round cardboard lounge bed and a 3ft sisal post rectangular scratcher because I knew my cats were picky and enjoyed cardboard and tall vertical space. Unfortunately one of them was still scratching my door frames, so I decided to go back to this L shape version as I knew she loved it in the past; however, I didn’t like the other brand I bought because it was falling apart very quickly from the frame/screws, and left a mess everywhere.I gave this brand a chance and was incredibly impressed right away. It was thicker and much more durable with more screws. The outpost stands tall and strong, even with grips for the floor and padding to protect the wall. All my cats, love it and are using it now instead of the walls. I will definitely be re-purchasing in the future and recommending this seller to others.With these L scratchers, you can definitely rotate so that the cats use different parts overtime.

I’m very very pleased with this cat scratcher. It’s bigger than most which I need because both my cats are big. The only downside is putting it together, but for the price it’s worth it , the screws are big, easy to push in and a screwdriver is even provided.
