Bought this as a general first aid spray, as I like using more natural products (this is just a more concentrated form of a substance produced naturally within the body). It is colorless/non-staining, odorless, tasteless (yes I’ve used it to knock out sore throats on occasion), non-toxic, and sting-free. HCLI is also, as far as I know, not cytotoxic (cell destroying) like peroxide or rubbing alcohol are. It’s a very good price (about half of what I have paid for Vetericyn at a feed store), shipped quickly, and is very effective at what it does. Great for any kind of wound, even long-term/more serious wounds like ulcerations, surgical sites, etc. (of course, always consult a physician before using anything on wounds). Highly recommended!

I discovered Hypochlorous Acid while looking for an antibacterial/antimicrobial cleaner during the pandemic, and fell in love with a different brand of Hypochlorous Acid surface cleaner which I’ve been using religiously for all my household cleaning needs, ever since.So when I saw HA in a skin spray, I knew I would like it as well. One of the best things about the surface spray was how all the ingredients become inert after they’ve done their job (remaining on the surface for a minute or two), and is completely safe for food surfaces and around children and pets.I usually just advocate for plain saline on booboos or new piercings, but I think the addition of the extra ingredients in this product will definitely be effective in helping the healing process along even faster, and help counteract any infections if they should start. It’s super easy to use, because of the spray top. I think that also helps keep it extra sanitary because there’s no contact with the unused portion inside the bottle. There’s absolutely no scent to this product whatsoever, which is good because there should not be. I also really appreciate that there is no additional pain when using this product on an open wound/cut, it just feels like water or saline. The only complaint I have at all, is that the safety wrapper on the cap does not extend all the way down past where the cap on screws from the bottle. It only covers the spray top portion. So it’s not tamper proof at all. I also could not read the Best Buy/expiration information on the underside of the bottle because it was only half printed.

Pool Water
Hypochlorous acid seems to be everywhere right now, so I was excited to try this spray from Clean Care. I personally didn’t have much success with it, but then I realized that HA works the same as chlorine in pool water – it kills bacteria. Unfortunately our pool doesn’t really help hormonal acne and turns out neither does HA spray. I also didn’t find it to be helpful on a contact rash or on some insect bites. I don’t think it’s it necessarily a bad product for some things, like wound care or bacterial acne maybe? However, if you have or regularly swim in a pool and that doesn’t help whatever you’re trying to fix, this probably won’t do it either.Regarding the product itself, it’s a clear water that has a very light chlorine smell. It dries clear and clean, is not sticky and leaves no residue. I’m not sure I would pay too much for this type of product, but it’s definitely cheaper and more convenient than a pool.

Safety seals are completely ineffective and defective on this product!
Ok, you accept returns, but why are returned bottles put back into inventory? I even got one with no safety seal at all! Product is used/unsealed! The main problem is the safety seals do absolutely nothing to prevent the product from being used, contaminated and compromised. That makes this so unsafe! You can unscrew the sprayer top and use/expose the product and the safety seal stays intact and undamaged. You can slip the seals off the sprayer with no effort at all because it just slips off with the caps because the caps are very loose and the safety seals are too short. Then you can slip the safety seals back on and it remains intact with no damage to the safety seal on the sprayer. So it looks sealed, but it’s not.I contacted the manufacturer directly on their website about these defective safety seals and never heard back. I will be returning all the bottles I ordered and will be looking for another brand with a safety seal that is effective and not defective.
