Great for between baths!

So much easier than hydrocortisone cream!
I have been needing a hydrocortisone spray for so long!! My dogs hate hydrocortisone cream, because it makes their hair sticky, and it is hard to apply a cream in areas with thick fur. This spray is the perfect solution.I usually enjoy Chew & Heal products, and this one is no different. It is a small, manageable bottle that is easy to spray using one hand (the other hand is holding my dog still) and it doesn’t have a strong smell, so my dogs don’t get irritated by it. It goes on clear, dries quickly, and works well! The best part is that you can target specific areas on your dog, without having to apply a thick cream that gets everywhere. If your dog tends to get itchy, irritated skin, then this is a great item to keep on hand.

This is a great product for your dog’s hot spots and itchy welts.
My German Shepherd has red/pink irritated skin on his belly from biting himself when he gets anxious. Once those little welts form, it is hard to get rid of them because they attract bacteria. This spray clears the skin of bacteria and allows the area to heal. It really has worked well after only a few applications. It is easy to apply because it is in a spray bottle, and our dog doesn’t seem bothered by any pain or itching when it is sprayed on him. I did distract him from his belly once I sprayed it, and I would suggest doing the same, but overall, I think this is an excellent product.

Worked very quickly for my dogs raw and itchy feet.
This spray has been a great help to my dog.Recently, just before the spray arrived my dog started chewing her rear foot. I was trying all the creams and gels (mostly as natural as I could) but even tried and true things were not making any difference. To make things worse she started chewing on one of her front feet. She was miserable. I tried keeping socks on her and was just about to put an e-collar on her when this spray arrived. Right after I sprayed her feet she calmed down and I believe the itching and burning subsided. She stopped chewing and was able to relax and take a nap. That was the beginning of her feet getting better. I think I only sprayed one or two more times and by the end of the next day she was leaving her feet alone and they started to heal. The smell was not offensive either. She’s not chewing now which is a few days later, and they are significantly better.This has now earned a place in my medicine cabinet. I’m so surprised it worked so fast. For me this is a good buy and well worth the reasonable cost it’s sold at.

Seems to be doing the trick!
One of my two Pug Boys has notorious allergy issues. While I often need to take him for a routine shot (which seemingly is the only way I can provide relief for him), I have been on a quest for an “over the counter” topical that is effective, yet doesn’t involve subjecting him to chemicals and potential side effects.Chew and Heal’s pleasant smelling Hydrocortisone Spray allows me to easily target areas of discomfort, by spraying directly onto his skin (the key is to be sure to part the hair so that you’re coating the skin for direct contact and maximum effectiveness). The 1% Hydrocortisone and .5% Pramoxine Hydroxhloride seems to be an appropriate blend to insure his quick relief. Thus; no more scratching!This quality product is Made in USA (my preference, whenever possible), and the 4 oz. bottle is easy to bring with us while on road trips or when heading out for a day at the park.I will continue to monitor the effectiveness of this product, but for now, I am pleased to see that my little dude has been much more comfortable and itch-free.

works on fire ant bites
I have one dog that is constantly getting in fire ants. This spray does seem to help relieve the itch, as I don’t see her scratching as much. Easy to spray and rub in.

Effective at soothing itchy skin
Shih Tzu’s are known for having allergies, and if you live in Florida with ST’s, it is very likely that they have them in some form. Often, it’s the skin and ears that are affected. My ST girls are so itchy during the Summer that they occasionally get hot spots. The humidity doesn’t help at all. I have them on a good flea and heartworm preventative, so it’s not from fleas, but their skin gets inflamed and they end up licking and chewing their feet for hours at night. This product helps to break the cycle of the chewing and licking. I apply it to their paws and it’s effective at soothing in between the pads. If you have dogs or cats with allergies and itching, I recommend giving this product a try. I think that it is slightly overpriced at $14.99 when you are getting only 4 ounces of product.
