Great quality, great bonding with play time!
The last time I bought one of these cat fishing toys, it came with a handle on the stick and the durability of the stick was a little lack luster. You had to be careful as to how much you let the cats pull on it. With this version of the toy, it’s way different. The metal the stick is made from bends easily and it’s lightweight; but because the stick is made from this material, it doesn’t perma-bend. I have many of the flyers from this company so I’m happy to say I have plenty of those. My cats have been using these cat fishing toys for a year and go crazy for it. Amazing exercise for them and their excitement gets me jazzed to play with them. I definitely recommend you buy a “fishin” stick that comes with a flyer and a separate flyer to replace the pre-installed one n just in case you’re babies go a little to zealous in play time.

Awesome cat toy
A friend had recommended this wand toy because my cat seemed to be getting bored with her other wand toys. Thank heavens for Da Bird! My cat cannot get enough of this creature. I have had it for about 10 days and have already purchased a refill – not because the original one was defective or poorly made, but rather because she has pretty much bent the feathers out of shape because she is so rough with it! The wand itself is flexible and long, and the string is long. So, when you “fly” the “bird” around you can make it dip and sway . And it sounds like the wings of a real bird flapping. Very intriguing for the cat.I highly recommend the Da Bird!

Long wand makes play time easier
So many cat wand toys are very short and they feather on the end doesn’t move right. Not the case here! The wand is nice and long and has a nice flexible bounce to it which allows for a better movement of the toy and easier for me to use. My cats love this toy!

Best string pole for gatocitos
This is the best cat toy. Initially, I found this product at a thrift store and have since worn that out and this is its replacement. I have tried the amazon specials that were similar in design and intent but just not as entertaining for cat & human. It’s the perfect length of stick, string, attachment, and feather. It whirls through the air and the cats love it. Save your time and money and just buy it.

Great toy for my cat.
My cat loves this teaser and jumps high just to reach it. In the event that she catches the feather, she will not let go and usually the feather toy breaks or come apart. I have some refills in that case but I do wish that the feather part of this toy could last a bit longer.

Best Cat Toy EVER
I do cat rescue and that means lots of cats to test products for true durability/likability. MY CATS LOVE THIS!!! You can make it fly like a real bird. I have to put this in the closet or they eat the feathers off it. They know where it is and ask for it!! Easy to reach shy kitties to draw them into the play. DA BIRD if DA BOMB Wish I could get replacement string as we have been through several of these. Wand lasts forever but if you don’t put it up they will chew on it!

Update: I was so happy to have found this wand and toy, but I have since bought a replacement bird and a second wand and bird from Go Kat and neither of those two birds have had the same robustness that made the first one so great. The replacement bird I bought (Da Bird Feather Super Refill) was quite flat and narrow compared to the first one that came with this wand, which made the great whooshing flying sound. The second wand and bird was also flat and silent. I’m now looking elsewhere for bird refills that replicate the qualities he likes. Disappointing. I’m lowering my rating from 5 to 4. Maybe your cat won’t miss the sound.—–Original Review Below—–I have a 6 month Maine Coon Kitten who is VERY playful. He’s been driving me crazy wanting to play, but he gets bored quickly and I have been buying a lot of toys. This is by FAR the best! He has only wanted to play with this ever since I got it (which is giving the other toys a great refresh if he ever tires of this).The wand is longer and springier than any other wand I’ve purchased. The length and bounce make it easier for me to play with him, especially given his size, and promotes more exercise from him. He LOVES the sound of the feathers when I make it move quickly. The string is excellent and durable, though it is taking some wear with extended play (he has started trying to bite the string and the feather head). Other teaser toys will go on this wand, as well because it has a fishing-line type clip.The feathers: there’s quite a bit of talk about the feathers. The “da bird” that came with this wand has lasted very well, considering we’ve had it for about a month and he plays with it constantly. I need to replace it now, but I definitely have no complaints about the durability of this toy, especially in comparison to other wand toys I’ve bought. This bird does not seem especially dangerous to me. Some of the feathers are spotted and firm, and some are colored and soft. I’m not sure whether the replacement “Da Birds” will be different or not. The softer feathered fliers we have tried did not fly this well, nor make the great flying sound he loves.It is possible that the quill of any firm feather could hurt a cat, but none of the feathers have come out or poked my cat. I only let him play with it while I am playing with him. It IS possible to poke your cat by mistake with the cap that holds the feather and connects to the string, especially if you are making the bird fly fast, but that would be true of any feather-cap toy arrangement. (He accepted my apology and resumed play.)I am SO grateful to the makers of this fine toy!
