Durable and Dishwasher Safe!
This is a well built puzzle feeder that would be ideal for small breeds, but could be used for any dog or cat. It’s a little too simple for our dog so she always solves it without a problem, but it slows her down! The peanut butter lick mat in the middle is the real bonus!Pros:-simple puzzle box that is easy to load and not to difficult for any dog-small enough to fit in a dishwasher and the pieces come apart easily-peanut butter lick mat in the middle that can be used with or without the puzzle element-works great as a way to slow your dog down when eatingCons:-the puzzle portion may be too simple for some dogs (but it will still slow them down)-the compartments dont hold much food (or snacks), so you can’t use it as a bowl replacement

Slides easily, great beginner/puppy level toy, shallow treat trays
Drawbacks: Pictured is a piece of Royal Canin German Shepherd breed kibble, and it is about twice as tall as what would work in this food toy. This food toy is best suited for flat, jerky-style food, like Ziwi Peak, or small disc-shaped kibbles. While the tray is pretty easy to clean, the inside of the sliding caps would be terribly hard to clean, so I would not recommend using soft food in the sliding tray sections. In a similar vein, be careful to smear soft foods in the center of the lick mat so they aren’t likely to run into the sliding tray area.The good stuff: this brand is primarily known for making great-quality kids’ toys, so I feel comfortable the plastic is as food-safe as it can be. The sliding parts move easily and have no rough edges. This simple puzzle is a good confidence builder for a dog new to food toys. Outward Hound also makes nice puzzle toys if your dog is ready for more challenge.

He is really great about understanding what is his- but he is a puppy.This color wheel treat box does an amazing job of keeping him entertained for up to 30 minutes, depending on how I load it. The center part is a round lick mat with suction cups on the back that you can spread treat spread on(I use a small amount of squeeze cheese). He has not been able to remove it himself, it seems secure.Please wash all new items that come in contact with your dog’s mouth for his or her protection.I have only used his everyday kibble in the color wheel bins, but he is happy to fiddle with it and get the food out of it. I didn’t have to teach him, he figured it out on his own and is able to empty it completely- giving me 30 ish minutes of time that I don’t have to be 100% focused on what is in his mouth.This color wheel interactive pet game is crafted very well and I feel that it will last longer than he will use it, and I think it is a tremendous value compared to similar products I have bought previously.

Beginner level difficulty
This enrichment toy would be perfect for a puppy that isn’t familiar with these brain teaser type toys. My dog does some of the medium level outward hound toys, so this one was a breeze for her to figure out. I do like that there’s a lock mat integrated, though, since that turns this simple toy into a multisensory experience. The downside is that my dog likes to use her paws on these toys just as often as he nose, so it can make a mess if she flips it before finishing the peanut butter.

Too easy
Brightkins Color Wheel Treat Puzzle & Lick is too easy. My 10 year old small dog had all the treats within 5 minutes. He gets more stimulation from me hiding pieces of treats in his dry food bowl. The design and colors of this toy are fun, unfortunately that’s the only thing fun about this. This is well made with thick plastic that is relatively easy to clean. The lick mat is made of silicone and can be detached for cleaning.

Fun Interactive Puzzle For Your Pup!
Got this for my dog to try and mentally stimulate and burn off some of his endless energy, which it did…briefly. It’s very well made and seems nice and durable. Everything slides effortlessly and the removable lick mat is a nice touch as well.Unfortunately though, my dog found it a bit too easy. He didn’t get bored of it- he’s extremely treat driven, so he’ll probably play as long as I keep pumping treats into it. Which is fine, if he weren’t watching his weight! Once he figured it out though, it was pretty comical to watch him just nose the compartments around in one swoop and clean house in under a minute.I’d still recommend this to anyone, but maybe the puzzle aspect is better suited for puppies or smaller dogs? I’m not sure. Maybe my dog is just gifted, what can I say? 😉

Not a very large capacity feeder, but no real issues with it
This seems like it would be a nice puzzle feeder for a smaller dog or for a treat session with a larger dog. I have a golden retriever, so if I want to use it for a meal, I have to fill it up 3 times to feed her a full meal. She’s pretty good with puzzle feeders and has had a couple more challenging ones, so she got the hang of this one pretty quickly. Still, it works as a decent slow feeder for her. I haven’t used the lickmat while it is attached to the rest of the toy because I do not usually feed my dog wet food. However, it has suction cups on the back, so I did use it while giving my dog a bath, and it stuck on well to the walls of the Pet Supplies Plus bath area. So, works for me!

Brightkins Color Wheel Treat Puzzle & Lick Mat
I like to leave my dog an interactive toy or treat when we’re going to be gone for a little while during the day to keep him engaged, and this was an awesome find! I love that it’s rated for outdoor so he can have it on the patio and I don’t need to worry about a mess in the house. The lick pad is great for some instant gratification and the treat puzzle keeps him working at it a bit longer. It also helps space out treats for his sensitive stomach.
