Great vacuum
I really like this vacuum. It picks up and holds a lot. It is light weight and easy to use. Easy to empty the canister. It also does get most of the fur off the furniture. Good suction, keeps picking up even after using for over 10 minutes. Worth the price, but I did wait for it to be on sale, lol. The retractable cord is the best too! That was a deciding factor when I bought it. I very much dislike having to wind a long cord after vacuuming, and with this vacuum I just hold the button and the cord is tucked in. Strong suction, it catches all the dust bunnies. With an easy release handle/wand to get any dust or spider webs up high. I’m happy with this purchase!

Great for long pet hair.
I bought a Shark upright vacuum that had Pet in the name. Not sure what pets they tested it on but I’m guessing like turtles and snakes because my dogs hair instantly wrapped itself around the roller brush from end to end like it was designed to do that. Couldn’t even finish one use before I had to cut the hair off and literally comb it out of each and every brush tuft on the roller. Back it went!I searched smeo more and read the descriptions and reviews a little more carefully and decided on this Bissel. It was $100 more than the Shark but was designed specifically to not wrap hair around the roller so I bought it.Very nice vacuum. It’s very well built and everything has a nice quality feel to it. The canister pops off easily and empties easily without having to reach in and pull stuff out. The hose wand also pops on and off easily with the push of a button and the mechanism that holds the wand in place is sturdy which is important with these type of designs as the wand is also the handle so it takes a lot of abuse when using and lifting it and carrying it around. And speaking of carrying it. It’s a high quality vacuum but that quality makes it heavy. It can be pretty tiring on stairs. It has great maneuverability as it swivels and seems to have pretty good suction. Gets a lot of really fine dirt out of my carpets that my old vacuum seemed to be missing. And I’m happy to say. Not a bit of dog hair on the roller brush. It all ends up in the canister and it does a good job of getting it off the carpet. Although with long pet hair getting it up is not the issue. Getting it through the vacuum without catching and wrapping on anything and everything is the issue and this vacuum handles it very well.It has a nice head light that works pretty well. The turbo brush tool is the only one I’ve used so far that actually works and keeps the little brush spinning as you use it. Most stall out if you put even the lightest pressure on them. This one you can use with normal pressure and it just works. The other brush tool has some funky course bristles that make it more like a scrubber and less like a brush. The crevice tool has an LED light in the end that comes on when you attach it. Kind of cool but it has a battery in it that takes up about half the diameter of the tube so this cuts down on the flow. So they made the suction end smaller to match. It works but I’d rather had a normal crevice tool. Also the battery inside the tube means it only fits on it’s storage post in one direction so it’s fiddly to put away until you remember which direction it has to face. More gimmick than useful. The auto cord retract is nice. This is my vacuum for my man cave area but my wife always steals my vacuums since the rest of the house is central vac and she doesn’t always feel like hauling out the big hose and stuff. Fine with me but she NEVER winds the cord back up…or returns it for that mater. I usually find it somewhere in the house with the cord draped over it in tangles. At least with this one so far she pushes the button and lets the cord put itself away…but I still have to go and find it.If you can live with the weight and need a vacuum that can handle long pet hair this is a good choice. It works as advertised is very well built and hopefully that quality will give it a long life worth the price.

Powerful Vacuum That Tackles Pet Hair Like a Pro
This Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Turbo Lift-Off vacuum is really impressive. The self-cleaning brush roll does a great job keeping hair from wrapping around, which means less fuss and maintenance. The HEPA sealed system helps trap dust and allergens so it doesn’t just push them back into the air. The lift-off pod and handy tools make it easy to reach furniture, stairs, and other tight spots. If there’s one small thing to note it’s a little heavy to move around, but for what it does the effort is totally worth it.

You must clean and take care of it but it really cleans great
This definitely picks up pet hair and does a fantastic job. I love it but… You need to clean it often. Not just the filter parts. The brush stopped today because there was a clump of hair and dust clogging it. Kudos for stopping and not catching fire or burning out.I have Great Danes so not a ton of hair that’s long and difficult for a vacuum. I’ve washed the canister parts and filters every other full vacuum. Say 3-4 times emptying a session, it’s a big place. (The canister is small so needs to be emptied often.)So if you’re aware it needs cleaning and care, making sure everything is clear, it’s fantastic at vacuuming. Great suction and really pulls the debris out of the carpet. Probably suitable for a smaller bit of carpet instead of the 900 sq ft and two huge dogs that I’m dealing with. I’d love one with a bigger canister and tolerance. I’ve had it for 8 months.

Out of the box it was easy to put together, the construction seems of good quality, and it’s much quieter than the vacuum its replacing. After one use:Out of the box: It did a great job in pulling tons of cat hair (I have 3) out of the carpets, and the accessory upholstery brush worked pretty well on some fabric chairs and my couch. In my small dining room alone it pulled two full tanks of dust and hair out of the carpet with none clogging the brush roller. The accessory hose is a little bit short, and kind of awkward to maneuver (with the upholstrey tool you have this 2.5 foot long solid wand on three feet of hose connected to the bottom of the vacuum) but that could also be helpful in reaching higher places and vacuuming out corners and crevices. The accessories seem pretty good. The light on the crevice tool is a little bit cheesy (single LED powered by watch batteries) but still kind of nice to have. The auto cord winder is nice, but I feel like to get the auto winder, I gave up about 10ft of cord length, which would have been nice to have too.Seems a bit mediocre on the hardwood floors, but I haven’t had a chance yet to give it a full fair test.So far I’m very happy with this vacuum, it does exactly what I bought it for (removing copious amounts of dust and cat hair from carpet) and does it well. The accessories and the cord winder seem good right now and for the price I’m happy with the purchase. As time goes on I’ll update the review, especially if anything breaks or goes wrong. The vacuum I replaced was a hoover pet pro, and it did a fantastic job for almost 10 years before getting old and tired. Lets see if this one does as well.

Yes it is great at kicking up dog hair, but very difficult to clean out the canister unless you empty it after every room. And the prices is awkward and dusty. Note…Golden retrievers shed their weight in fur every year!

Received on time. Excited to use… over several uses noticed. It’s a short cord.. so constantly unplugging and plugging back in. No long solid wand, just the flex hose that you can put different ends on. Doesn’t help much when reaching to clean up something as flexible hose isn’t that cooperative. Finally front on beater bar is high. Fits under standard kitchen cabinets but if decorative trim, no, have to manipulate the flexible hose. It does pick up well on carpet and hard floors. Finally low cord pullout so if not holding the cord up out of way, it continually gets in way. My findings after several uses. Purchased to replace my aging Dyson, only improvement from it is how well picks up. My Dyson has to be at least 12 or more yrs old now, losing power and hose is falling apart, so why replaced, and didn’t want to to pay what asking for Dyson.
