Good enough
This was the 2nd vacuum I purchased on amazon because the first was so bad I returned it. This one is much better.Pros: The brush and suction are great at picking up dog hair. I really like the auto-cord retraction, even though it wasn’t a feature I was looking for. I also like the adjusment dial for carpet height. We have some very short carpets as well as some longer furry rugs, so this feature was essential. It works well on both with the proper adjustment. Easy canister emptying. It has a slightly wider track width than some of the others, so that is nice too.There are two things that could use improvement:1. The area where the belt sits is covered by a piece of plastic, probably to keep hair away from the belt. Unfortunely, dog hair still gets in there, and can burn on the belt, causing a smoking smell. Yikes! To get into that chamber you have to take out like 6 screws, so it’s not a quick little operation.2. The brush does not stop spinning when you are using the hose/wand. That is just silly, but could also cause problems.Overall I’m reasonable happy with the vacuum for the price point, as I wasn’t willing to get into the next higher price range machines, and it’s substantially better than the lower priced ones I looked at. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.

Powerful
I had to replace my last vacuum unexpectedly. I had the same brand, different model, still pet hair features – so I clearly like the performance of this brand of vacuum. Its light weight but powerfully, and very easy to maneuver. I like the attachments it comes with, and they are stored conveniently on the sides. I love the clear bagless canister! The handle is actually the wand extension, pretty cool. It has a retractable cord, im on the fence about that feature; when I was a kid, any vacuum with those often quit working. BUT this cord has clear indicators on how far to extend the cord without going too far and preventing feature from working. Time will tell, for now it’s getting 5 stars!

Absolutely phenomenal
I recently had my $300-$350 vacuum cleaner give out on me. Vacuumed the carpeted portion of my house daily as well as any rugs on the hardwood. After only one use of THIS vacuum cleaner, that was significantly cheaper than my previous one, it pulled out an astonishing amount of dirt, hair, and dust. I would recommend this vacuum to everyone. It’s also extremely light and can be picked up with 1 finger by me. Very easy to use and clean. 10/10 would buy again.

Great vacuum
Easy to assemble and use. Worked great on my hardwood and carpets. Love the power and the flexible swivel movement. The only thing that didn’t hit the mark was that once you have pulled the cord out you can’t lock it at the desired length, it will slowly retract back into the wind up compartment. So I have to keep re-pulling it or hold the end right while I vacuum.

this vacuum works so freaking well. i was going to get dyson never tried their brand before but im so glad i didn’t spend like $500 on a vacuum. i have 5 animals in my house and it literally pulled all the hair out of my rug AND old carpet powder!!!!the wand release is great and the attachment it comes with works SO FREAKING GOOD.It’s built with all these neat little things for convenience (has built in holders for all attachments, auto cord retrieval, places to keep the hose so it stay out of your way, want has an extension built in on the end so you don’t lose the piece)i love things that make cleaning easier so i don’t dread to clean. The suction power is so good too!!! i’m not getting paid to write this I just am so picky about buying online. I rely on reviews heavy. This is well worth the money!!! light weight great size best vacuum.

Excellent Cleaning Tool
We had a Bissell for several years and wanted to get a new one. This is an amazing improvement. Easy to push and pull, cleans amazingly well. Love the steering feature. Works very nice on both carpet and bare floor. Even the cord retractor works nice. You will love this machine. Our previous machine was harder to push/pull across carpet, this one glides!

A pleasure to sweep with
Switched to Bissell after many years of the other brand. What a difference! I actually like to sweep with this model. The swivel really made a difference. And I love the release wand, so much easier and the suction is great. Hope I don’t have to buy again anytime soon, but I will when this one wears out

Very good fur and dust pick up
Got this because my father’s hand-me-down HOOVER total home and pet vacuum finally crapped out after like 10 years. Needed something not quite as expensive as that and wanted a retractable cord. It does a great job sucking up all the dust and fur I was shocked to see everything the Hoover had missed from becoming weak. Almost filled the canister up in my one round. It’s also lighter than the Hoover was for sure, still not insanely light but definitely easier. The cord length is decent, however, I’m not a fan of where the cord comes out. It’s by the ground and is hard to hold up to avoid tripping on it or running it over, I’m sure I can loop it through the handle next time while I use it or something, it’s just slightly annoying as I did trip myself. Overall, it’s a good value, hopefully it lasts at least a few years. I do not have stairs or anything to use the attachments on so I can’t really speak for those as I have other methods for cleaning I prefer over a vacuum. I will say the “brush” attachment is only plastic blades with no bristles? I’m not sure how that’s supposed to work. But if you’re just looking for a good dust and hair remover for carpet and hardwood I’d highly recommend this for the price point!
