Claus Pohl, a brilliant chemist, started Bio-Groom in 1971 with the goal of creating mild pet hygiene products that were safe for pets and the environment. At the time these products were extremely harsh, so Claus created the first naturally mild shampoo on the market and named it Bio-Groom. Today, over 50 years later, we are still family owned and operated and proud to continue innovating and manufacturing natural, gentle pet grooming products.

All Bio-Groom products are pH-balanced and free of common allergens, parabens, dyes, soap, artificial thickeners, and harsh chemicals. For extra sensitive pets we also offer products with no sulfate, alcohol, or perfumes. Additionally, we have a number of products that are tear-free. We’ve designed our products to clean effortlessly without stripping natural protective oils from the skin and coat.
