My cat loves this automatic feeder; now he always looks forward to his delicious meal! The feeder is easy to use and set up! Yes, we often come home late from work, but this feeder is perfect for us. Absolutely love this thing now! However if I had rated it when I first received it and tried to use it I would have given it one star! I was honestly about to throw the thing away. I was so frustrated trying to set it up. First of all, the legs didn’t go on as easily as they look like they should, partly because I didn’t realize they’re marked to match where to put them on the unit. The instructions say “respectively.” I need clearer directions, for example: “Attach legs to the respective letters on the unit that matches engraving on leg.” At least then I would have known to look for it – because it’s easy to miss as it doesn’t stand out. Moving on and following the directions, I did everything it said, fairly easily set the time and food release settings, but then couldn’t get the main body to lock into the legs or the lid to lock onto the main body. I tried turning and repositioning, I don’t know how many times. I could tell it looked like it SHOULD work, but just wouldn’t. I sat it aside and waited a month or so until there were some other reviews. Thankfully, someone mentioned in a review there was a step left out of the instructions. This review also said they had been contacted by the company and instructions had been added as well as a video. After watching the video, I was able to get it to fit together perfectly (just like I had thought it should) and it works like a charm now. I’ve only used the batteries (as where it’s located there is not an outlet) and it’s still going strong with the original batteries after a good month and a half of at least twice a day feedings. I do hope I can remember or find instructions on how to change the schedule or reset it if I ever need to (assuming I will when batteries need changed). After using this, I would absolutely purchase again. My daughter saw it and wants to get one, too. Thankfully I’ll be able to help her set it up if she, like me originally, can’t figure it out. I just took off one star due to initial frustration with instructions.

A great pet feeder
This pet feeder works well. It’s easy to assemble and setup. I like the power/battery dual option. It give me a lot flexibility when moving things around my house.The dry food container is large enough to keep one cat/one week in it. My cats love to eat out of it.

We shall see how this works, as we have only had it for a couple days. However, it is a a miracle I ever got it together! HORRIBLE insturctions! Why? How much more could it cost to print up decent, helpful instructions for assembling? I wasted a LOT of time, which makes me think I should have tried another product.
