Easy to set up.
We were going to be gone a couple of days and I purchased this for our cat. It is easy to set up and works great. You can program how many times a day and the amount of food to dispense.

Reliable and fairly easy to set up
The initial setup for this, where you choose times and portion sizes, is a little bit fiddly but not difficult. You’d still be able to do it even if you lost the manual, which is more than you can say for a lot of Chinese electronics. It’s a totally reliable feeder, and has battery backup in case the power goes out. It makes some noise when the food drops into the plastic bowl, but that’s really a feature, letting your cat know it’s time to eat. It looks fairly nice too.

Great for diet on dogs.
Brought for my father in law to help keep his dogs on a diet. ( Likes to over feed them). The vet told us to put them on a diet. This was cheep, and works well for what we need it for. My boyfriend fills it up in the mornings when he goes over to take care of his dad, and since it has a timer, it is set for how many meals throughout the day. It can hold a lot of food, but we but about 4 cups in it and it fits well. Don’t know if it’s on batteries or plugged into the wall. It’s sturdiness hold up. Good value for your money. Noise level is that of normal use.

Love it
I love this feeder. It was easy to set up the time and the feeding schedule. I was a little worried about if it would dispense enough food for my cats. I had to reduce the amount it portions out beautifully. 1 draw back, is the dish doesn’t attach well it just slides into the spot and doesn’t lock there. I can hear it dispense but the noise isn’t loud enough to deter the cats, although it might if they were eating when it dispensed.

Worked great for helping my dog’s vomiting issues!
Bought this for my small Maltese / Pomeranian mix dog who started throwing up yellow bile overnight. I read that going too many hours between meals can sometimes cause this, so I got this to try it out. It worked! She gets fed a tiny amount every 6 hours, and the vomiting stopped.I really like that you can set different amounts at different times, and that it remembers the programming even when you unplug it and move it somewhere else. I also like that the portions can be really tiny (like a handful of pieces of food) in case you want to spread the daily calories out over many meals.When I tried to do it manually, I kept overfeeding her because it was hard to estimate how much to give each time.I also like that it’s not loud enough to scare my very anti-robot dog away from eating from it.

Not sturdy enough.
easy to set up, but not sturdy enough. The animals can hit it and knock it over. when it hits the floor the lid pops off even though it is in the “locked position.” they then eat all of the feed at one time. the previous one we had could be knocked over, but the lid stayed on. I will be returning this one. gave it 2 stars only because it was easy to program.
