Good for the stomach
I give this to my guy everyday. He is an adopted rescue. He had issues. This has ginger and chamomile in it. Two things that will come someone’s stomach down whether it’s human or furry. So I got it for that. The calming effect my guy needs Ativan. He was beaten so he needs heavy duty stuff at times. This I give for different reasons and it works really well. He never upchucks his meals. I will say that. I know he likes it cuz he eats it up. My guy doesn’t bark so you know I don’t know what this has to do with barking.

Great Natural Product for Calming your Pet
We bought these to use on our dog during thunderstorms, fireworks or just loud noises. We need to start them early to be effective but yes they do help. I always give him a couple just before his meal if I know there is a party or storm coming thru. Helps him to sleep and not stress, whine or hide. And I like these because they are NOT MEDICATION,,,, they are normal herbs and natural ingredients. He has no issue eating them up. I would recommend these for anyone with a dog that over reacts or has anxiety issues. Remember to start early so they have time to get in the system before they have chance to overstress.

Works Pretty Well
Short Version: Pup loves the taste, it works decently well.We have a 20 pound Shiba almost a year old. Based on her weight the recommended does is one treat, which has very little noticeable difference. It caaan make her more calm but she can still have big spurts of energy or craziness. Could be that her puppy excitement overpowers the treat. My brother come over once after we had given her a treat, and she went crazy, peeing on the floor from excitement. We tried two treats, monitored her carefully just in case and she was fine, but two treats is definitely much more effective. She is much calmer, more likely to nap too. She loves the taste of it too. Also the treat is pretty big but it does fit inside even a puppy sized Kong toy which was a plus for us.

Great Calming Treats
Our dog never had problems with loud noises until a year ago on the 4th of July. Our neighbors were firing off a lot of rockets and it scared our dog a great amount. After that, our pup didn’t want to go outside as much, was scared of sirens, and loud noises on the television would have her running for cover. We spoke with our vet and she wanted to put our dog on prescription meds. No thanks. We decided to try some various calming treats. We’re glad we did. Zesty Paws treats were the best of all the brands we tried. Our dog weighs about 45 pounds, so the recommended dosage is 2 treats. They work! After about 20 minutes our dog calms down and handles noises so much better. If we are around loud noises while camping, and our pup is suffering, we will go to 3 treats and that really calms her down. The 4th of July weekend just passed and we worried again about how she would do. The first night, we gave her 3 treats and she was just fine. The next night we gave her two treats and she again handled the noise just fine. I did some research into the ingredients in the product and found that all of them appear to be just fine for dogs. You should check with your own vet to make sure it’s okay for your dog because not every pup is wired the same. For us, these Calming Treats have been a godsend and we couldn’t be happier!

Meh – not really “calming” – certainly not vet approved strength …
Meh – not really “calming” – certainly not vet approved strength … my vet stated … these type of supplements are fine … but … for VERY Mild cases … for typical cases … these chews are best used as “treats” – I have to agree … my ZERO effect on my little dog – 20lb Kromie – had to work with my vet for the proper prescription for my doggie …

I’m a believer, it worked.
We had an odd situation. One dog (red Lab) was dying, and for a few weeks there was discomfort and stress. The other dog (German Shepherd dog) was uncomfortable, agitated …it was not good.I had two dogs and two very different reasons to give them this supplement. The lab seemed to rest more easily and not be so nervous/stressed. This allowed for him to sleep a lot and not fight it and struggle. We gave him these to help ease him into a stress free death. I believe it helped. The GSD, ugh…he was the baby, and he knew something was terribly wrong. He was wired for sound, uncomfortable, over stimulated 24/7. Thank goodness this worked. The GSD was still aware of everything and physically competent able, but he was no longer climbing the walls, running around the house in a hyper-nervous state. We were about to put him on a prescription for the duration of the event, had this type up supplement not worked.FYI: the doctor and I discussed dosage of this supplement.I would recommend. And I would use this on my dog again, if there was another situation.

I bought these to help manage my Rottweilers agression and she has been so much better. Still has a few outbursts here and there but its made it much easier to identify moments before they become an issue.

Our 14 month dog is very noise sensitive and alert barks a lot. Sometimes she’d get herself so worked up she’d be barking every 5 minutes at any noise, and unable to relax and nap. She’s also scared of anyone coming to the door, and certainly anyone coming inside the house. I was getting to the end of my tether, and feeling so bad for her that she seems so anxious all the time.We have been using these for five days now, and I have also been prioritising working with her to reinforce calm through out the day (I work from home). And I’ve been marking and treating her every time there is a noise that could make her nervous.I noticed a difference right from the first day of giving her a Calm Chew. She seemed less wired, and certain noises that she would normally bark at were being ignored. Now 5 days in, her alert barking has decreased by about 80% from the days when it’s particularly bad!It will take longer to train her not to be scared by people coming to the door of course, but I’ve even noticed that she doesn’t get quite so worked up and I’m able to get her to listen to me (whereas before she was simply going crazy barking and not taking any notice of me at all).I’ve gone from being in tears of frustration at the constant barking, to feeling optimistic that we’re moving forward in teaching her how to be relaxed and happy and calm! Which, as anyone who has experienced having an anxious dog knows, is like the sun coming out again after weeks and months of clouds and rain haha.I’ll certainly be continuing with these chews and purchasing again when they run out. I think that, combined with proper training, they are a godsend.
