Before this oil: my dog’s coats looked like thrift store wigs..Ever since I started this, my dog’s coats are shinier, their old lady joints are happier, and they look at me like I finally did something right as a pet parent. My dog LOVES the taste
I’ve tried a few other salmon oils and my dog was like, “… well, OK, it’s food, I guess.” But he LOVES this stuff. I swear if I put this salmon oil in a spray bottle and misted my house, I’d never have to clean again – he’d lick everything spotless!Like many bulldogs, he’s had his share of skin and coat issues, but this oil has really helped. His skin is now clear and his coat is thick, soft, and glossy. I also love that it’s good for his joints.

Picky Cats and Salmon Oil: A Work in Progress
Like most pet owners, I want to make sure my cats have everything they need to stay in optimal health. I pumped some of the salmon oil over a small amount of kibble to see if they would eat it. One nibbled at it, and the other smelled it and walked away.I tried again later with their dinner by mixing a smaller amount than suggested into their wet food, which they usually love. I also topped it with a squeeze of a Churu creamy snack stick, which my cats are obsessed with. At first, they were hesitant, but eventually they ate it but didn’t clean their plates.This product may work easily for other cats or dogs, but for mine, I have to use less than the recommended dosage and dress it up with pricey toppers to get them to eat it. I do appreciate that it doesn’t contain unnecessary fillers or ingredients and that it’s made from wild, not farmed, salmon. It’ll take a little extra effort to get them to consume it, but I know the omegas will be great for their brains, skin, and coats.

My Dog Loves It and Not too Fishy a Smell
I have been using salmon oil for all my dogs for decades for their joints, coats and skin primarily. This is the first time in a decade I have tried a different brand. My working dogs are very active and I want them in their best shape not only for working but for them to live their best lives even in retirement.The Okkobi Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil came well packaged and sealed. Often times there can be issues with the seal. Upon opening it was fresh and does not have an overly fishy smell as some salmon/fish oils can have.My GSD dove right in and even licked the bowl! It did not leave that strong fishy scent on his breath either! This appears to be a high-grade oil and I am happy to recommend it.

Review by dog owner as opposed to any medical knowledge.Read lots around fish oils for dogs. This comes in an easy to use bottle with cap or pump top. Dispenses super easy with pump and is straightforward on how much our dog needs by weight. A medium dog needs two pumps and we have been using it every day for over a month now… still over 3/4 full. Very much worth the money. Our dog loves it and we will purchase when we run out.

Doesn’t smell great for humans but my cat loves it. Smells better and seems nicer for them if you add it to their food and add hot water.

Dog likes it. Vet prescribed it. Would prefer a better ratio/dispensing way than “half a pump” as it’s hard to judge depending on what you’re mixing it with.

Both my dogs have salmon oil in their food as standard mixed with some water and their supplement. I switched up their salmon oils all the time in this one is really nice. The pump for this is very nice to use and the portions that come out are great. It smells really fishy, which is good. Most dogs would really benefit from having this added to their food (obviously be careful in case of allergies)
