Absolutely Amazing!
Unreal the difference these make with our dog in both keeping her teeth nice and clean as well as totally eliminating bad breath. We tried every means of cleaning dog teeth under the sun and she hated ALL of them and would go run away in a corner when she saw us coming! A few weeks after we adopted her though and gave up on regular teeth cleaning we were noticing her teeth starting to get yellow/gross and her breath was unbearable (our dog likes to give lots of kisses!) so we tried these as a last resort before having to take her to the vet to have them cleaned on a regular basis and the difference was insane – within 4-5 days her teeth were white, her gums cleared up from being a little black, and her bad breath was no more!! Not to mention she freaks out when she sees us pull one out of the bag because she LOVES the taste of them and they are by far her favorite treat. The only trick we’ve found with these is that while they are totally safe for dogs to eat, if your dog had a really sensitive stomach like ours you may need to take it away from your dog as it starts getting soft and they look like they are going to be able to bite a piece off and swallow as we found when she eats some it’s a 50-50 shot she’ll throw up later on… We asked our vet about it all though and he confirmed these are a great treat/dental solution, but it’s probably a good decision to watch and make sure it isn’t swallowed anyways as they are high in calories and don’t really have much nutritional value. Again, can’t reiterate how awesome these are though and what a huge benefit they have been to us/our pup!!

Amazing for tarter buildup
My 2 Labrador’s love them. Excellent for keeping their teeth clean and breath smelling good. Receive compliments from the vet at their yearly visits on how great the oral hygiene is.

Vet approved but expensive
Large dog ones must taste good, because dog frequently chokes himself eating them fast. I don’t know why – no one is trying to take them away. Sizes are VERY variable in the same bag. The medium ones are twice the price (more people have medium dogs?) so we cut the flimsier large ones in half for our medium dog. Small ones are perfect – same sizes, made and cut, so not a solid piece of hide to choke on. If your dog can handle it, or if you’re starting out with a puppy, I’d recommend daily toothbrushing instead. Cheaper and does a better job. But the dogs do love these.

How it works…
This is great. The dogs have to chew to soften it enough before it can break off for them to eat. It helps clean their teeth when they do this.

Never again
I read all the reviews before trying this and admit I overlooked that the product is manufactured in Mexico. If there was good quality control it wouldn’t matter but there is no 3rd party testing. One reviewer stated his dog started drinking a tremendous amount of water after starting these. That’s exactly what happened to my pup. In addition, my puppy got a skin infection/reaction between her toes. I am very careful with what she eats and never give her artificial stuff, including anything with yeast or by-products. This product is mainly by-product which is the junk (skin/feathers) of poultry. I figured it’s just a small amount so not to worry, right? Wrong! I noticed she only drank a ton after eating this and at first found other excuses. It’s a nice idea to help control dog tartar in case brushing is not possible or skipped by accident but it’s just not worth it. It’s a catchy phrase to say “enzymes” will break down the tartar but you’re honestly just better off brushing your dog’s teeth even if you forget one day. I used to use Greenies by they’re full of potato starch which is useless for a dog and can lead to yeasty infections. Nothing will compare to brushing and if not possible, give a good strong chew toy that can help scrape their teeth.
