No more dragon breath
This is a FABULOUS product. I notice right away that my puppy’s breath was fresh. I really found out how well it was working, though, when we went to visit my mom and didn’t take it with us. After a few days she started to have the dreaded dragon breath. It was good to get her home and back to her treatment routine.It took a bit longer to notice a difference in my older dog. But after a few weeks even her serious dragon breath has cleared up. I am 100% thrilled with what this does. I’m anxious to see what it will do, over time, for the teeth.The one bottle is enough for one dog, about 50 lbs for a month. I don’t know if it adds a flavor that they like or if it’s just something they don’t mind. Either way, they eat it sprinkled on their food with no problem.I would definitely recommend this product for all dog parents.

Works well, but can’t finish a bottle.
I have three cats with differing health needs. The one I originally bought it for would develop plaque on his teeth pretty quickly and needed cleanings almost yearly. This product has kept his teeth clean so well I haven’t has to schedule a cleaning for him in two years! Another cat had pretty healthy teeth and gums for almost 8 years. His diet is mostly wet food for urinary issues. It caught up to him a year ago with plaque starting to develop. The vet wanted to schedule a cleaning soon. I decided to try the powder with him. With his health issues, our vet and I am leery to change his diet. But I decided to slowly add the powder and cross my fingers we wouldn’t have to go through another UTI. Six months later, we took this cat in for a checkup and his teeth were clean and his good health is maintaining. Out third cat is somewhat feral. She adopted us and our workshop after a close call with a hawk. She doesn’t like being handled much so getting her to a vet has not been possible. She’s also been getting the perio powder, but since I can’t handle her, its hard to say how her teeth are. My fingers are crossed that this product is having the same benefit for her as my other cats. All the cats have no problem eating their food with the powder mixed in, until there’s about a quarter of the bottle left. Then they start to refuse their food. In one way, I’m losing money when I have to throw out almost a quarter of the jar, but gaining with no vet bills for teeth cleaning. I’ve thought about changing to a different brand if I could find one in a smaller bottle, but then I have no idea if another brand will work as well as this one. So I am staying with this brand, but I do wish I could figure out a way to keep the last of the powder fresh enough for them to finish it.

My Dogs Teeth Are A Lot Better
Update Nov 10 2019——————-I took my dog in for a re-check after being on this for about 6 weeks. He told me that her gums looked much more healthy and that her level of disease went from a grade 3/4 to a grade 1/2. He was pleased with the reduction but showed me some pockets that were still there and felt she could benefit from a cleaning and then continuing with this product and our brushing to hopefully prevent or limit the need for future cleanings. Thankfully she did not need any teeth pulled and now her teeth are clean. I will check back after a few months to let you know how this product along with brushing helps to maintain her clean teeth.Original Review——————–Last summer I took my dog Millie to the vet for her annual check up and we were told she needed her teeth cleaned. I had noticed her breath was bad but had not looked at her teeth. I started brushing them right away and we made some headway with her breath and her gums looked better but she still had a lot of black tartar or plaque on her teeth.I was thinking that we were going to have to break down and do the teeth cleaning but decided to try this as a last resort. A few days after I started when I brushed her teeth I noticed a lot of black stuff on the tooth brush. At that point I could not see a difference in her teeth.It had been a couple days since I had really looked while I was brushing so today when I was brushing I took a closer look and could not believe the difference. We had been brushing regularly for 2 months and I was not getting any kind of results like this so I think the brushing is just brushing off the loosened debris. That stuff was on their rock solid for two months of brushing so I know its this product that has made the difference.I am hopeful that the rest of it will come off in the next couple weeks. I think there is benefit if you are not brushing, but brushing helps gum health.I am using 1/4 tsp on her food twice a day. I do not mix it in, I just put it right on top of her food and I would say she likes the taste. Good but expensive, would buy it regularly if it was cheaper. My cat actually has to chew these instead of just swallowing it whole. He didn’t like them at first but came around and liked them after a week or 2.

I love this product. I read somewhere that it helps stop the tear stains in white dogs so as I have a Maltese, I decided to try it. I think it works by killing the bacteria that causes the staining. It worked very well and I sent for more. Highly recommended.
