Excellent smart feeder, lowest price, great features
Wow, I was not expecting much at this price point, but, it’s really awesome, recommended buy! Setup was easy, camera, microphone, streaming video, intercom and oh it automatically drops cat food. It took my kiddie a few to minutes to figure out what it does. This smart feeder really does the job of a more expensive model. WiFi setup was super simple through the app, it only supports 2.4ghz WiFi. I already use their app for smart plugs so this made my experience that much easier. If you want cloud storage for your feeder videos, or text notifications, then, that’s pricey. I am really pleased with the build quality, amount of food it holds, camera recording/streaming, intercom and the schedule feeding. I have been waiting for the right price on a smart feeder, and this is it.

Pretty good for the price.
This feeder is pretty decent, for the most part. Assembly was a breeze and took no time at all. To have battery backup for the feeder, you’ll need to get three C-size alkaline batteries. It’s nice to use a larger battery, as that allows for longer backup storage. It would be even nicer if it used four of them!Getting connected via the (required) app was easy. Once inside the app, it was a little tricky, at least on my Android phone, to figure out how to access settings and the like. The app is unimpressive and clearly the company is more interested in becoming your smart home hub than it is in getting your animals fed. Though no subscription is needed to use the feeder, there are some expensive subscriptions they offer if so interested.I found the feeding mechanism to work rather well, if not a little slowly. The stainless steel feeding tray is great! That makes It much easier to clean what probably is the area most likely to get dirty. Even the inside pieces are easy to clean since the fear disassembles quite easily.The unit also has very impressive video and audio, which surprised me to be honest. I like the larger hopper size, as it allows for ensuring plenty of food is available. I’m concerned one of my cats, who is a very curious stinker(!), will realize how lightweight the feeder is and that it’s made of plastic. I will not be at all surprised if she manages to tip it over, chew into it, or simply figure out how to pop the top.Given the wonky app and how lightweight the feeder is, I cannot give it five stars. There’s also the concern of having to use the proprietary app to control this IoT device. Who knows what’s being data-mined and watched at the server end? That privacy issue also prevents it from getting five stars. In fact, I almost gave it three stars because of that.In short, it’s a decent little feeder with some very good video and audio. If nothing else, it can be used as a pet cam! For the price, it definitely fits a niche.

Handy Feeder with Camera
I’ve been checking out this automatic cat feeder for a little while, and it’s pretty solid. It has a 1080p camera, a sturdy build, and comes with a USB-C power adapter (not just a cable, which is a nice touch). You can also use 3 C batteries for backup power.The top latch feels a little fragile, though it hasn’t broken yet, so just something to keep in mind. The app lets you connect over 2.4GHz or 5GHz WiFi and control feedings remotely, which is convenient—but since it’s always online, I do have some concerns about privacy and what data might be collected. If you’re comfortable with that, it offers a lot of features like scheduling, remote monitoring, and notifications.Overall, it seems like a handy feeder with thoughtful features, just be aware it’s an always-connected device and the top latch requires a bit of care for kids or heavy-handed adults.

Great camera, good construction, lots of app extras
I got this because I’ve forgotten several times to feed my cats. It’s also a great way to monitor their appetites, one of the first signs of illness. The kitty photo is taken at night, in total darkness – the detail is great! The other photo is taken in the daylight; great quality here as well. Yes, it captures everything! The basic setup is easy – I scanned the QR code and had to enter my internet access information. It gave me options to purchase cloud storage which I declined, so if you are budget minded, you can purchase this feeder and that’s it. The app has lots of options which I don’t need. I found some of the toggle switches confusing – rather than green or greyed out, they are either red or greyed out. There are AI capabilities, calorie counters, and many more features which I do not need. The only thing I can say that’s negative about the feeder is that the top latch is really hard to lock. It takes some wiggling to get the top lined up exactly so that it will latch. Otherwise, it is rugged constructions and feels like it’s going to last for a long time. Weekend getaways are now possible without having a sitter. Very happy with my purchase!

Creepy and Concerning Requires App and Wi-Fi to Function
I was really disappointed with this automatic cat feeder. It looks convenient at first, but you quickly find out it only works through the app, which means you have to connect it to Wi-Fi just to schedule feedings. That’s a big red flag for me especially since the device is made in China and requires a constant internet connection. I’m not comfortable giving an app that level of access or data. I just wanted something that could feed my cat automatically, not something that needs to connect to a remote server halfway around the world. If I had known this before ordering, I definitely would have looked for a simpler, offline model.
