Good Leash with a Great Light
This is my second Tug leash. It is sturdy, it doesn’t get tangled and the brake is easy to operate and effective. It stands up to my very strong husky. The best part about this leash is the optional light. It is rechargeable and has 3 modes, one of which has a red taillight. It is surprisingly bright and attaches to the leash and shines so that it lights the path of the dog and dog walker. Way easier than carrying a flashlight. If you walk your dog in the dark, the light makes it much easier and safer. Another great feature is the receptacle for a poop bag.

Most durable and reliable there is
This is the most durable and reliable retractable dog leash I have purchased in years. Nothing breaks off, the cord works well. I didn’t realize I’d like the little cubby hole for scrunching up 3 waste bags but it’s great. Super product!

don’t buy it for the light feature, and it isn’t storage for dooty bage.
i like this because of the range of motion it allows our big dog.the leash retracts smoothly.there is a “knack” to it. Know that if she pulls hard, it will lock up…think seatbelt lock up.The little light fell off several times before it got lost on one of our last hikes in the woods. it just doesn’t stay clipped on. Which is sad. I loved that it shone front and back during the times I got to use it…visibility while walking on subdivision streets at night was a plus. Maybe super glue it in place!also, it will hold one or two dooty bags. Don’t think you are storing a week worth of bags…it is just enough for one walk. Which is fine.My hands are smallish, so it is a little hefty for me, but I am finding with gloves, it still fits.it was worth it for a large, retractable leash.I have dropped it a few times, and the black does not scratch or scuff up; and it still works like new.

Great Dog Leash – Highly Recommend
This is the second TUG Oval dog leash we have gotten. This is the first one we got with the flashlight. It is amazing! It shines right where I need light during early morning walks. Our dog is 65 lbs and we got the large. He is pretty strong and likes to pull. I highly recommend and would buy again.

Light stopped working
I am giving this 3 stars because the flash light has already died. I was so happy to get a nice retractable with the removable light that you can charge. However, it didn’t even last 3 months. I like how retractable this is. I also have a larger dog who is trained but he has pulled against this with little problems. But for the price I am not happy about the light. I do wish there was better room for the poo bags as well. The little while on the side only holds about 3 of them. Anyone with a larger dog who likes to go alot it’s not enough.

Worth the money
I’m shocked how long this leash has lasted. I have a 96 lb German Shepherd, and he can be a handful around squirrels. When it’s time to buy another one, I’ll get this again.

A great little leash that feels really well made and sturdy. My 40KG dog is going nowhere when the locking mechanism is engaged. Speaking of the lock, it takes a bit of getting used to. I’ve found that lightly pressing the button is more effective and the tether jolts back in quite violently if there’s any extra slack. When the dog is ‘roaming’ the lead feels super smooth and there’s no noticeable resistance which is great. There’s space enough for about 3 poo bags, which is fine – but not perfect. The handle and unit generally is super ergonomic and a joy to hold on long walks. There’s also no prejudice for right/left-handedness which is awesome!
