Love this
My kids adore their avocado. Pepper tries to carry it around by the leaves, gambit does the kicky thing, and marshmallow rolls it forever looking for treats. I put a dried gall fruit in it instead of catnip and they went bonkers. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Hope I can buy replacement leaves because they are showing weakened plastic and tooth marks. The kids love it so I’m happy.

Looks Fun, But My Cats Weren’t Fans
The idea behind this cat puzzle feeder is great — it’s well-made, looks fun, and I was excited to give my cats a new way to stay entertained and work for their treats. Unfortunately, my cats were a bit scared of it and wouldn’t engage with it much.To be fair, they can be pretty picky with new toys, so it might work better for less finicky cats. I still think it’s a clever design, just not the right fit for my crew.

Better for younger cats, issues with feeding hole
I have older cats that could use some extra exercise and I was hoping that, since they love their treats, this would not only get them up and moving but reward them for doing so.They were interested in it only for a short time because it was new and different. Older cats for the most part have seen it all and new things only hold their interest if there is something in it for them. One played with it for a fair bit but eventually gave up because the feeding hole was not dispensing treats. No matter where I positioned it, it would not stay in place and defaulted to the closed position–hence, no treats. If the slider would be a bit more difficult to move, it would probably stay in place better. The cover for the catnip ball and treat openings is also pretty difficult to get off without damaging the surface of the ball. If you don’t pry hard enough, you aren’t going to get it removed; pry too hard and you could break it. This is a great idea–it just needs a bit of tweaking to get it right.

Hard to wobble
My cat wants nothing to do with this toy. It’s kind of heavy to wobble and she completely ignores it. I bought treats she loves and also the catnip balls and still nothing. I don’t think she can smell the treats through the plastic. I really thought she would love this because she goes crazy over her treats but unfortunately not. For the price it’s a flop and I will be returning it.

My fur-babies LOVE this toy!! Definitely one of the top toys I’ve ever got for them!
OMG!! THIS IS THE CUTEST CAT TOY!!! When it first arrived I was worried that it was possibly too large & heavy-ish to work very well. Boy was I completely wrong! Both my cats were having a ball with it! So far so good, I’ll update if it breaks or I find an issue but for now I may have to buy a second one so my fur-babies can each have one cuz I’d HATE for WW3 to start in my own living room!!!!

I love this and so do my cats
Really cute, very durable. My cat loves it. It’s hard to open to add the treats and the catnip/silvervine ball. You need to use a tool to open, just like a coin or something is good enough. But that also makes it more secure so your cat can’t open it. Love the avocado look too. Adorable.

works well as a slow feeder for a tiny dog, too!
I got this for a small dog, not a cat, to use as a slow feeder because she inhales her food like crazy. The video is her first try; I put about 2/3 of her dinner in her dish and the other 1/3 in the avocado. She figured it out pretty quickly and it really did slow down her eating. In the end, there was only one kibble that she couldn’t get out that I had to help with. This toy is well-constructed with a nice weight to it. It stands on its own and wobbles with a nose or paw. You do need to use a tool (I just used a fork tine, haha) to open the large compartment. The leaf on a spring is cute, but my husband suggested it might distract the dog so I left it off; I can see it being a huge part of play for a cat.Based on this success, I plan to use this to feed her as often as possible, so she eats at the pace of my other (senior) dog and doesn’t try to then steal his food!

Fun toy for cats, but some design flaws.
I really want to give this a good review, because the toy itself looks good and is fun for my cats. It’s cute and has good wobble action. But it’s not fun for me.You have to use a screwdriver to pry off a plastic panel to refill the treat compartment. And even using a screwdriver it isn’t very easy to do. A twist on lid or even a screw would have made it much easier to access the compartment. It’s honestly easier to just put treats in through the dispensing hole instead of using the panel you have to remove. The lever to restrict the treat dispensing hole does not quite stay in place when fully open, but that isn’t a deal breaker. It has a catnip ball holder, so if you have extra catnip balls it’s a good use for them. But it does not come with any.
