Stage 3
My older pup has been on this for about 8 or 9 weeks now… it does seem to be helping him with most issues except he hasn’t lost any weight… but he’s not putting on weight either…so I guess that’s a good thing… Thank you

Good ingredients
Really like this product, and my dog enjoyed it also. The ingredients in this product are healthy, which is a bonus! The smell isn’t bad and it has definitely improved my dogs allergies. Will buy again.

High qualitly ingredients, easy to add to food
Just started using this product, so this is more of a first impressions review.TL;DRProduct is fresh, lots of fantastic, human grade ingredients. Powder is convenient to mix with yogurt and kibble. My dogs like it. Contents sold by weight not volume, and so your jar will likely be half full.More detailed review:The contents settle during shipment because it is sold by weight and not volume. A half or even slightly less than half full is not a defect. You got the full amount, it was just very fluffed up/sifted when it want in the jar, and has settled. The scoop is likely buried, so you may have to dig for it. Again, normal and expected for a powder. It has a lovely fresh, earthy, oceany smell to it. To some, it may smell ‘fishy’, but that is really an ocean smell, from the algae and mussels. If there were many fillers in this powder, it would have a less strong scent. To me, it is a mark of quality.I sprinkled some on my dogs kibble, and mixed in some plain yogurt. They ate it with no complaints. My one dog licks to lick the bowls clean, and she did that when I used this as well.Powder vs treat. I prefer powder as there is no need for added ingredients to bind all of the stuff together and form a cohesive treat shape. It is also easier to mix with yogurt, cottage cheese, pumpkin, ect., for your dogs food.I got this because of the ingredients such as spirulina, green lipped mussel, ginseng, and the probiotics (Lactobacillus acidophillus). These are what marketers like to call ‘superfoods’ and are just generally good for your dogs health. With the price of vet care going way up, and kibble being processed at a high temperature (negating some of the benefits of vitamins/antioxidants), a supplement can be a great addition to your dogs diet. The AAFCO standards for kibble are also outdated and too low in my opinion, so supplements and real food like leafy greens and veggies, is something I personally would highly recommend to any dog owner.Probiotics help support the microbiome in the GI track, helping digestion and regularity.Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory and adds a bit of flavour.Spirulina is used as a dietary supplement for NASA missions, so your dog can eat like an astronaut. It has anti-inflammatory properties, and (in humans but likely also in dogs) can help some with seasonal allergies and dental health. Some research in humans suggest anti-cancer properties (though this is only one study, so further research needed. Very exciting though), and improved cholesterol.Lots of research is being done looking into the benefits of spirulina for humans, and many of those benefits (anti inflammotory properties, being rich in beta-carotene) will translate to dogs, and hopefully we will see dog-centered research soon (From The Cleveland Clinic website).Maitake mushroom (hen-of-the-woods) is being studied for possible cancer fighting properties, as well as boosting the immune system and balance blood sugar. It is has been used in East Asia for centuries, and was highly prized for medicinal use. More studies are looking into mushrooms for their health properties and there is a lot of exciting results coming out.Very happy with this product

My dog doesn’t like it.
My dog doesn’t like this powder. It’s inconvenient to mix with the dog food since she eats dry food. I didn’t realize it was powder and not in capsules. It’s much easier to feed it to her in a capsule wrapped in cheese.

The dog likes it
I think my dog’s coat is looking better and he seems to like these so it’s a win-win.

Mix with wet ingredients
I ordered this for my dachshund mix dog. She is 10 years old. Her diet is dry kibble during the day, and for supper, she gets dry kibble mixed with “value added”. That could mean a raw egg, a bit of broth, milk or leftover meat or veg. This is a finely ground powder. I liked that, because it mixed well. The first time I gave it to Penny, I mixed 1/2 scoop with her kibble and added a bit of water. It had a strong fish smell.Penny refused it at first but finally ate it.The second time, I gave her half a scoop with kibble and raw egg. She ate it better that time.I think she’ll eat it as long as it’s mixed with something she likes.I think it would work great with canned dog food. The canister is about half full even after shaking. That’s fine. I just wanted to mention it.I gave it 3 stars because of the strong smell and the fact that she didn’t really want to eat it.That’s based just on Penny. You may have great results.I’m not sure how long it will take to see physical results. If I see any outstanding changes, I’ll update my review. After daily trying, Penny just turned it down.We ended up throwing it out.

Picky Eater Approved and Full of Nutrition
My Boston Terrier has chronic bowel disease and hasn’t been eating dog food, so I’ve been making his meals with chicken, eggs, and rice. While it works for his sensitive stomach, I knew he wasn’t getting all the nutrients he needed. I decided to try this multivitamin powder and was really unsure if he’d eat it because he’s so picky, and honestly, the smell isn’t great… it’s like dead fish.To my surprise, he’s been gobbling it up without hesitation. The serving size is a full scoop for his 23-pound weight, and I was worried it would be too much for him, but he eats it all mixed in with his food. It’s been such a relief knowing he’s getting the proper vitamins and minerals now.I’ve already noticed he has a little more energy and seems to be feeling better overall. If you have a picky eater like mine and need something to supplement their diet, this has worked really well for us. It’s been such a comfort knowing he’s getting everything he needs to stay healthy.
