    Awesome Upgrade from E-series
Intro and things I like:I had the Sonicare E-series toothbrush for over a decade, and it started to not hold charge so well anymore, so I decided to upgrade to this toothbrush. The head on the 5100 is a bit smaller which I like, and the handle is also nice and slim as well. It’s a fairly quiet toothbrush compared to my boyfriend’s Oral-B toothbrush, which I love because I tend to be a night owl. The charging is perfectly fine and it lasts about 14 days without a charge, and will take 24 hours to charge if it’s completely dead. The quality of this toothbrush is pristine, and this is why I decided to go with the 5100 instead of the 4100 because I head concerns about the newer 4100 model’s build quality. There are no issues with quality for the 5100 as far as I know. I also love that it comes with a travel case as I am constantly on the go for vet school rotations. Some toothbrush brands come with a USB plug in style charger, but this style is much better because you can just sit it on the charger base without having to worry about plugging in a USB C cable or something like that.Using it:There are three different modes for this toothbrush, clean, whitening, and gum care. I use the traditional clean mode, and sometimes the gum care because it feels good on my gums. I love that the toothbrush has a very slight pause every 30 seconds indicating that it’s time to switch quadrants, and turns off automatically at 2 minutes for “clean” mode. Apparently “whitening” mode goes for 2:30, but I prefer the “clean” mode. There is also a really awesome feature that you can set on the toothbrush letting you know when it’s time to change the toothbrush head, indicated by the light near the bottom of the toothbrush. This is great for customers who don’t always keep track of when to change their toothbrush heads.Cons I’ve encountered so far:The only con really would be that it comes with one toothbrush head. There is a little slip of paper that shows you how to register your product with Philips for discounted heads, but it would be nice if it came with at least two. Another thing that is probably just me, is that the black base for the toothbrush doesn’t come with black heads. I think it would look pretty cool if the heads matched the base for a nice, sleek look. You can get matching colors if you opt for the white, but I just picked the option that would be delivered to me faster because I’m impatient.Overall:As someone who has always been pretty anal about her oral hygiene, I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a first time or new toothbrush to up their oral hygiene game.

    A perfect toothbrush
I had a prior model of this brush for about 10 years before it finally wore out and the few days that I had to wait for a replacement and had to manually brush my teeth highlighted for me what a difference this brush makes. Once you use this brush your teeth will only ever feel clean when you use this brush. I love the way it feels, I love the way it leaves my teeth feeling and I love how it has kept my teeth healthy for the last 10 years. Great product, and very convenient that it comes with a case. I know there are more expensive models, but I can’t imagine what they might be better at. This feels like a perfect toothbrush.

Powerful, Gentle, and Long-Lasting – Highly Recommend
I’ve been using the Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 5100 since September 2024, and it’s still performing as expected. I usually charge it about once every 10 days, and the battery easily holds up that long, possibly longer (I’ve just never tried). This toothbrush leaves my teeth feeling noticeably cleaner than a manual brush ever did. I’ve used round brush heads in the past, but I much prefer these longer, slim heads. They reach all the way to the back; yes, even around my wisdom teeth, without causing any discomfort. The pressure sensor is a great touch, helping me brush more gently and avoid gum irritation. I mostly use the Clean mode, but it’s nice having other options like Gum Care and White depending on my needs. While the brush helps lift surface stains over time, I’ve found that your toothpaste choice plays a big role in how noticeable the whitening results are.On top of the performance, the sleek black design looks great on the counter, and the included travel case makes it easy to take on the go. FYI – There is no issue having this in a carry-on when traveling by plane. All in all, this is a great investment in your oral health: reliable, effective, and thoughtfully designed. For the quality, performance, and features you get, this toothbrush is worth the price. I’m sure they have released 3 to 4 new models, but you really don’t need a better toothbrush than this.

    Cleans teeth satisfactorily
It does the job. I use the cleaning mode and whitening mode the most. Actually, I think the white mode might be a little bit stronger for cleaning my teeth. Sometimes I use the gum setting but find brushing my gums with the clean and white mode okay. It is a bit noisy but not too bad while brushing teeth. However, when you just put it under the faucet to rinse off it sounds really awful. The last Philips Sonicare I bought in 2021 last until 2024 when the handle got hot and had a very loud screeching sound so unusable. I’d recommend this toothbrush as it does clean my teeth satisfactorily. It holds a charge really well.

3rd Philips Sonicare. They last 20-24 months with twice daily use, sometimes 3-times per day
Arrived on time. This is the 3rd Philips Sonicare brush I have purchased. The track record has been approx. 20-24 months for this model. Which I don’t feel is bad for every day, twice a day use. With intermittent 3-times a day use. For me well worth the investment for quality dental hygiene.

Great new model but keeps the same old heads
The best toothbrush! This is to replace our other sonic care that lasted 7 years before it wouldn’t charge anymore. This is def an upgrade to our last model but still fits the heads of our toothbrush so we didn’t have to waste money buying new heads. Feels really good after you brush and the charge lasts for at least a few days . We spent a little bit extra for this one bc it’s rechargeable and it’s def worth it .

Es el primer cepillo electro que compro y no puedo creer lo increíble que es. Ed un poco confuso al principio. Una de las mejores compras que he hecho en amazon.

While I am a minimalist, I don’t hesitate to purchase items that improve my quality of life. This is indeed one of the big upgrades from my average toothbrush. Since I started using this, My gum never bleed again during brush, the tartar built up actually got destroyed by the vibrations, and my oral hygiene is just so much cleaner. Lastly, I heard the Oral-B brush is slightly better in terms of functionality, but Sonicare brush just look so much better in terms of aesthetic. 100% would recommend (And I did during my work’s standup meeting)

The best electrical toothbrush from Philips; moreover, used it as recommended on the instructions manual. However, if you used it in whitening mode, the battery will die within 7-8 days rather than 14 days
