This cat backpack carrier is extremely nice. I looked at several and order this one and another more expensive one to compare in person. This one wins hands down. It is very well made and sturdy. The expandable part works much better and sturdier. Very well thought out features for the kitten as well as the owner. Nicest one I’ve seen.

Well Made, Glad for Tummy Straps
This is very well made with the zippers aligning up and zipping well. The fabric seems sturdy. For my cat, Tango, it is a bit wide which makes it awkward to balance on my back, and the support tummy straps are essential to keep it near the top of the shoulders. Even with that, it seems to dip down in back too much, hence 4 stars and not 5.We are trying to acclimate Tango so we can take him on occasional trips because you can’t leave them in the car safely. It is a way to carry him more mobily than a cat cage carrier and it has more visibility when placed on the car’s seat. The cat is well contained and settled down after freaking out when we first took him around our yard. He finally seemed to enjoy smelling all the smells and I think he will come to look forward to short hiking. Who knows, maybe I’ll update this review.

Not very comfortable for the human
I bought this so I could hike with my cat on our 3 week Rd trip. I didn’t have time before the trip to take it out or I may have ordered a different one. It arrived smelling strongly of new plastic & I didn’t want to gas my cat out so I left it out on the porch to off gas prior to the trip for about a week. I like a lot of the features like the sun flap on the top, that it has multiple pockets & zippered flaps for the cat. I thought I’d use the extra space but never did.The carrier itself is kind of heavy + add in the weight of my adult cat + my Camelback bladder & my shoulders were pretty sore after a 2 hour hike. The waist belt didn’t hit low enough on me to have any of the weight riding on my hips like a backpack should. I’ll be looking for one with straps that adjust for a better fit before I take him on another trip.

This exceeded my expectations easily
I was amazed by the quality of this. Until… My cat was able to rip and break the seem at the top zipper. The seem where the zipper is sewn to the opening edge of the fabric. My cat is a little on the A hole side though and I do feel that if your cat or dog acts normal and chill in a carrier, this is amazing and I would absolutely buy this over and over. The zippers have buckles for extra security. The interior extension is excellent. The entire carrier is made of very durable quality material and the straps are very solid and comfortable. This is just an awesome carrier and I don’t think you’ll disagree if you get it.

Sturdy, comfortable, good design
I’m delighted with this cat carrier back pack. We’re preparing to move over 1000 miles away and needed a good solution for transporting our cat from the house to a large kennel in the car to hotel to kennel in car to apartment. This lightweight backpack is perfect for our needs!The soft bottom padding adds a nice cushion for our 14 lb boy while the sturdy frame keeps it secure and prevents collapsed. He likes going for walks in his new backpack more than in the pet stroller we’ve used for a few years.I’m 5’4″ and my wife is 6’1″ and we both find this comfortable to wear. The waist strap really helps add support. My wife likes to wear it on her front as shown while I prefer to wear like a traditional backpack. Our cat is happy either way.The pop out section is easy to use and lets him stretch his legs a little. This is large enough that he can easily stand up. All the fabric and zippers seem tough. Our cat tried to claw his way out when we put him in the car for short rides but no damage so far. I LOVE that the zippers have a clip so you can secure them closed! What a great design. Plenty of pockets to keep essentials handy.We’re as happy as can be with this pet carrier!

My dog loved it!
My dog loves this carrier! We took a road trip and he spent a lot of time in it while in the car. When got home and I brought the carrier in the house, he wanted to get back in it. Having the extra space is great. My only complaint is that the carrier was not comfortable when I strapped it on to carry my pooch. I do not recommend using it as a carrier for too long.
