    A place in my shirtpocket
The .9mm is an excellent choice for someone who may be heavy handed, needs to mark surfaces other than paper, Writes notes while on the go, plays crossword or sudoku puzzles. The thicker lead size makes it harder to break and the larger diameter allows for bold writing that is less likely to tear through lower quality paper. The quicker clicker has some design attributes that have earned it a place in my shirt pocket on a regular basis:The side click is obviously one of them! This makes is easier to advance more lead while writing to reduce the interruption of the thought from the more common top click advance systems. The added bonus to this too is you won’t accidentally advance lead while erasing. The eraser itself is pretty good pentel quality. I understand the aesthetics of having a cap cover, but I prefer to have an exposed eraser for ease of access. While you can get the specific eraser replacements, you can also put an eraser cap on them. Please note that not all eraser caps may be wide enough to fit over the end but I have had luck with Pentels white eraser caps. I appreciate when a mechanical pencil can use an eraser cap.The grip is comfortable and, well, grippy. My hands tend to get sweaty so a textured grip is appreciated. I feel that the curvature of the grip area also compliments different writing styles. I think the way I learned to write was not the best because the one of the joints in my middle finger tends to get irritated so I have been working on relearning my grip to reduce this irritation. Even with the click mechanism placed in the grip area, I have not experienced any hinderance or major obstruction. The body of the pencil itself is rather nice. I like the transparent body to see that I still have lead in there. I received one black and one magenta/pink whatever it is! I’ll call it pinky. The black is alright, but I’ve come to appreciate this odd pinky color because it stands out and I like to be able to identify my pencils more easily. Personally, if I received 2 pinkys I would have been pleased, but the black one stays at the office because I know where it will be and the pinky comes with me or stays at home where it is more likely to be roaming and therefore easier to find.I think these may be my new go to pencils! They work for my needs and writing style. I will have to wait for a big sale or something to see if I can get some .9 in bulk to ensure that if one is lost or broken, I will have quick quicker clicker access!

    My favorite
These have been my favorite mechanical pencils for years now. They are sturdy and have the good kind of erasers (the kind that works).

    The best lead pencil made.
I love a lead pencil, but I am a heavy/hard writer. A 9mm pencil is hard to find that doesn’t look like a carpenter’s friend. I saw & purchased these (this is my 2nd set) fell in love with these pencils. They just fit your hand so well and you enjoy writting.

    best mechanical pencil period
There are way more expensive mechanical pencils. This is still the best. Why? You can use the eraser.Because the “lead advance” button is on the side, the eraser can be sturdy and fixed. Also, the eraser is full-sized, and you can replace it. This is what got all of us through physics undergrad and physics grad school courses. The best tool for learning math and physics.

An old favorite of mine, with a thicker lead for my kids
I survived using this pencil in the .5mm thickness for my college engineering courses. This is a well-designed budget mechanical pencil. It has replaceable erasers and a side clicker so that you don’t accidentally advance your lead by erasing (as often happens with the top clicking pencils). The barrel is also sheer so you can see how much lead you have left – whether it is in the lead you are currently using or to see if you have spares. With my kids distance learning, I have seen better how their tools can impact their learning. My son does not have great handwriting and it becomes even worse with a dull pencil. However, he can also be heavy handed and breaks most other mechanical leads easily. I was delighted to see my personal favorite came in an extra thick alternative and that is what he has been happy using ever since. My only complaint is that it only comes in “pink.” Although we don’t set too much on gender specific colors in our house, the connotation is unavoidable at school and I have witnessed some of the other boys making fun of others because of it. (I know, stupid, but…) I wish the ‘burgundy’ as they call it was more neutral like the .5 gray and the .7 blue. A brick red or fire red would have been great.

    Love them, love the color
I have been using these mechanical pencils for years. The mechanism does eventually give out so I do have to get new ones from time to time.

Buen producto para los que nos gusta escribir con 0.9 mm, se siente un poco grueso al principio, pero al poco tiempo te acomodas y va bien.
