Side clicker sturdy design is reliable and convenient
Best pencil because of side clicker design! I have used Pentel side clicker pencil for decades. As a mechanical pencil, it carries lead in its barrel with sturdy eraser and protecting cap. No twirling to reach lead advance. Convenient and efficient with variety of colors. It has .5 and .7 lead models which are No. 2 pencil compatible for some standardized testing purposes. Refillable lead and eraser for long use.

I’ve been using these pencils for 35 years. I went from grade school through my engineering degree with them and buy them for my children now.They’re a well balanced pencil and not having to stop and reposition your hand to advance the lead is a great advantage.

Unfortunately, they do not have the same dark lead as the blue pencils. If you like the dark #2 lead, you won’t like these!

Using this Pencil since 1994
I have been very particular on my writing utensils since i could write. It took me many years to find a mech pencil that didn’t fatigue my hand quickly. Once I tried these I was set. The grip is maleable but firm, it is wider at the base (near the tip) to allow for better grip. The writing is smooth and the eraser is replaceable with affordable replacements. I have now been using this pencil for 30 years and do not plan on changing.

I’ve been using the Pentel Quicker Clicker pencils for probably a couple decades now and I absolutely love them. I have some 0.5, 0.7, and 0.9. When they disappeared from brick and mortar stores many years ago I tried some other similar pencils and none of them even came close! Also, over the years I’ve had very few of these break or malfunction, they are built to last, which is rare these days. I did once buy some directly from Pentel and funny enough THOSE were mostly defective, but these ones from Amazon work perfectly. I know the cost seems high for pencils, but it’s totally worth it! The only downside is that each pencil comes with only 3 pieces of lead, so if you don’t have lead at home then you’ll want to buy some of that too. You can also buy extra erasers for these pencils but I don’t find myself needing to change these often.
