We have a new guest in the house! We found a baby kitten; it’s a little girl, only a few weeks old, and we bought this carrier bag for her to take her to her vet appointments for vaccinations. I really liked the price, and I like the quality of the product; it’s very sturdy, the bag doesn’t smell bad, I loved the design, and our kitten, Cata, is going to love it because she can see outside. It’s beautiful, and the size is quite large, but the kitten will grow into it, and I liked that Amazon delivered it super fast.

This backpack works great for going on walks, going to the vet, and going on car trips. Our kitten loves it and hops right in when it is out. We are very happy with it.

Great if your cat is not a chewer/destructive
Compact and easy to use. Zippers can get a bit stuck but work with some coaxing. Do not buy if your cat is a chewer or an escape artist, they will be able to make a hole. Great for my lazy old man can with no teeth 🙂

Okay, so I bought this for my small, 8 pound cat Nyx. She hasn’t been a traveling cat, and the few times she has been in the car, it was in her shelter box or my sweatshirt. This time it was a trip to the vet. She yowled the whole time. I stopped moved the backpack to the front and unzipped the front, making sure her harness was fastened to the lead inside this carrier. It was. I thought, hey maybe if she could see me, and I could pet hwr she’d calm down. This was not achieved. The other 15 lb cat, in his own carrier, answered each or her yowels with his own. She began to then attempt to flee the carrier. It being so light, and apparently her being so strong at 8 lbs, she began to drag it with her. Crossing my fingers and praying to Bastet and Nyx (her namesake) I pleaded with whatever deity would listen that she did not go have diarrhea in my car in some small space I couldn’t even reach to clean.She settled with the snooty sausage in the back that had inserted himself into a padded reusable cooler bag and continued to yowel the entire drive to the Vet. This may have been because the other cat had peed all over his plastic carrier and was exceedingly unhappy about it.We get to the vet. We do our thing. The whizzing weiner pees on the carpet right inside the door. We weigh everyone and clean poor Mr. Kitty up best we can. Nyx, for all he4le attitude wears an escape proof harness and will walk on a lead or ride on my shoulder, so getting every in and settled was achievable.After the appointment I pop down to Tractor Supply and use their Pet Wash Station, that was thankfully empty to bathe the cat. It was awful. We are both scarred. After a quick blow dry I put him in this backpack, smuggle the smaller cat out in my purse and drag the barking bratwurst to the car. I secured this back pack carrier to the front seat of my suv with a seat belt through the straps and locked tight. The straps were as tight as can be. It wasnt going anyway. I clipped the zippers closed. They were not unzipping without being unclipped. The bratty bratwurst returned to his cooler bag, Nyx curled up on the dog bad and blanket in the back seat. Mr. Freshly washed Kitty nosed and pushed and meowed at the sides of this carrier for 47 miles. Suddenly, he was free! If I had not slowed down to 20 mph on the back road approaching my house, I don’t know what I would have done because he somehow managed to seperate the zipper on the size of the carrier. I was driving and did ser exactly what he was doing on the side, but basically he broke the zipper. He immediately jumped on the dash and pranced back and fourth before puffing himself up and lying down right in front of me. By this time I had come to a stop about 150 feet from my drive way. I couldn’t see through him or around him really, he’s one of those weird cats that somehow either looks like a puddle or more than one cat when he lays down. I got them all inside and thought surely this carrier was broken. I unfastened the zipper on the sized that he emerged from and unzipped it and then rezipped it and it zipped just fine. None of the teeth are missing or bent or anything like that and Im honestly pretty impressed. However, my cat escaped. I didnt have a harness or color on him, as he was an unexpected guest and not them intended occupant, I will keep a spare collar or harness in the carrier from now on. The pocket is great! Back to the zipper. If ai had been wearing the backpack and walking or out somewhere, or on the highway or busy street, my cat would have escaped or caused an accident by his antics on the dash. Him escaping the carrier was not safe. If a cat can break through the zipper, how secure is the zipper? Should I install some buttons and fabric just as extra protection to make sure that the side door can’t be escaped through again. I thought about just sewing it around the zipper on both sides, but then I cant collapse it and it takes up more space… all in all, I like it. It seems to be sturdy, with good quality, and durable.

I have purchased this carrier bag to carry my dog with me while I am riding my bike. My dog is around 5 kg. It is very sturdy, easy to use, and good value for the money!
