Nina Ottosson makes the best puzzles!
This is a great one for our pup, it was just hard enough that she needed to think & try different things, but not too hard to frustrate her. I learned to always monitor a bit, when they play with the puzzles, and I take it away when I’m not putting treats in it (I actually just use kibble, it’s a way for her to eat some of her meals). Great fun for both of us.The puzzles come ranked in difficulty, and with each puzzle itself you can increase the difficulty (they come with instructions how to layer the difficulty).I was thinking of taking one star off, because the white bone cup shapes are inviting for the dogs to chew on: this happened to me, and also a friend. It requires monitoring & not letting them chew too much. But – these puzzles are so well made and provide great engagement for your dog, it is a 5 star product.

Good combination of challenging for dog, while easy to fill with treats
I have 3 of these puzzles by Nina Ottosson. This version is a good intermediate challenge for your dogs while also being easy to fill by humans. My dogs are highly food motivated and it gets a bit chaotic when they are doing this puzzle. The lids to each of the containers tend to get detached. Fortunately, this seems to be designed with that in mind and the lids easily snap back on.All-in-all, I love these puzzles. It’s a fun brain teaser for my dogs (which is good for their brains) and it’s a joy to watch them play with them.

Durable and good quality
Durable and keeps my dog intrigued. Good sniffing toy. Some of the lids my dog chewed on but I was able to still reattach them so she could reuse it another time. The only thing disappointing was that it was over in 10 minutes and then she just wanted to chew the plastic pieces after she found her treats.

A daily project for my cat!
My cat loves the Catstages Kitty Cube, which has half the number of compartments, and he is getting too good at it, so I bought this for him. It’s the same thing, just bigger, and therefore it keeps him occupied for longer. He’ll come back to this puzzle throughout the day. Skills involve opening compartments to get treats inside, sliding them to get at treats underneath, closing open compartment lids so they will slide, and possibly remembering which treats he has already found. Hours of fun and work for him, with or without the bone pieces (that he just tosses aside). Excellent value for money.

Great 👍🏽 👍🏽 Puzzle Toy
Nice puzzle toy to keep my fur baby entertained. Seems to be durable as my Roxi likes to bite and chew on the bones and lids. I’ll be looking for some other games too.

Great for Slowing Down Mealtime and Keeping My Dog Engaged
I’ve been using this puzzle since my dog was a puppy (she’s 3 now), and while it has a lot of positive aspects, there are a few things that could be improved.Pros:Slows Down Mealtime: This puzzle is perfect for slowing down my dog while she eats. Instead of inhaling her food in seconds, it makes her work for her treats, which is great for digestion and mental stimulation.Keeps My Dog Entertained: My dog really enjoys solving this puzzle. It keeps her engaged for a good while, and I love that it provides a healthy outlet for her energy and curiosity. She has to figure out how to lift flaps and slide pieces to get to the food.Cons:The White “Bone” Pieces Are a Mess: I didn’t like how the little white bone-shaped pieces keep falling out of the puzzle. They just go everywhere, and after a few uses, I decided to throw them out entirely. It was more hassle than it was worth to keep them.Flaps Are Easy for My Dog to Pull Off: My dog quickly figured out how to pull off the top flaps that cover the treat compartments. While I can still use the puzzle without the flaps, it was frustrating at times when she would easily rip them off, especially during the early stages of using it.Durability Issues with Chewing: When my dog was a puppy, she chewed one of the puzzle pieces, which caused a little bit of damage. While you can still use everything, I wasn’t thrilled about the chewing. So, if you have a dog prone to chewing, be cautious about leaving them unattended with this puzzle.Takes a While to Dry: It’s great that this puzzle is dishwasher-safe, but it does take quite a while to dry completely, especially in the compartments where the treats go. You’ll need to let it sit for a bit before using it again, which is a little inconvenient when you’re in a hurry.Overall Thoughts: The Outward Hound Nina Ottosson Dog Brick Puzzle has definitely earned its place in my dog’s enrichment rotation. It’s fantastic for slowing down mealtime and providing her with some mental stimulation, which is especially important for high-energy dogs. However, the white bone pieces were a hassle, and the flaps didn’t hold up well for my dog. Still, it’s a fun and useful puzzle overall, and I’ll continue to use it in the mix with her other toys.

Love these puzzle Toys
I had owned this years ago when I had another dog. When my dog passed I donated it to a shelter. As soon as I adopted again I had to purchase this. Nina Ottosson puzzles are great, they really keep the dogs amused and entertained.

My dog really really enjoys this. It is the right balance of fun and engagement without being frustrating (my dog gives up on the Kong wobbler but goes all the way to finish this puzzle). I understand the negative reviews here about choking hazards, plastic pieces breaking up, the toy cannot be left unsupervised etc… but it is unfair to rate this puzzle in that way.You ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO supervise this puzzle like a hawk and teach your dog the main objective of the game, which is to get the treats, not chew up the loose pieces. On my dog’s first try, he flipped the loose bone and took off with it immediately. We took the loose piece away and led him back to the puzzle. On the second try, he snapped the red caps and started chewing on it. We immediately intervened and brought his attention back to the puzzle. Now he gets, but we still standby to remove any loose pieces so his attention doesn’t wander to them. This is a 5 star toy if you know how to direct you dog the right way. It needs constant supervision. The loose pieces have to be removed immediately once they have served their purposes. It makes my dog’s meals super fun.
