Great clippers from a great company
TL;DR: Great quality clippers that feel good to hold and cut very cleanly that are made even better by the great company behind them who provide a lifetime replacement warranty and superb customer interaction.Part of what drew me to these clippers to begin with (beside getting sick of my years old convenience store clippers) was how consistently and confidently the company stood behind their product and worked to make each customer satisfied. Seeing the company respond to others who have had bad experiences, replacing their items hassle-free, and watching that customer often change their opinion on the product was particularly inspiring.As unimportant as it might seem to have good customer service from a company that makes nail clippers of all things, that quality shined out as a differentiating factor that puts Harperton products above the others. The other products might be built well and might save you a few dollars, but I prefer the lifetime replacement warranty and superb customer interaction that comes with these clippers hands down.On to the Klipits themselves, they will certainly make most any convenience store clippers pale in comparison. When I first held the Klipits, their weight and smooth finish was immediately noticeable. Cutting with them is dare I say enjoyable thanks to the ease of doing so, which comes in part from the sharpness of the blades but also from being able to make a clean cut with what feels like little force. The small nail file does its job well and I hope that it maintains its quality as much as the rest of the unit.As I said in an email to Harperton when asked about my feelings about the clippers, this sums it up well:”The Klipit kit has surely made a positive first impression. The edges line up well and make a clean cut with ease. They have a weight to them that effuse a feeling of durability and quality construction. I like how they come with a convenient storage bag. Quite succinctly, I love the fact that they do simple so well.”The only thing I’ve noticed is a bit of the surface being sanded down to reveal a more shiny steel that occurs in some places, particularly where the lever makes contact when folded out (this is most evident in the picture of the Klipits with the logo facing up, it looks darker and more shiny below the logo). This kind of aesthetic wear should probably be expected around moving parts and areas of frequent contact, but they don’t detract from the experience at all unless you spend more time looking at your clippers than you do actually clipping your nails.Which, lets be honest, might actually be okay with the Klipits.

Received these nail clippers quickly when purchased approximately 1 months ago and have used them multiple times since. Shipping was quick, packaging was in tact and I really appreciated the zip bag/pouch the clippers came in (excellent bonus that I was unaware of) as this is perfect to utilize when storing away the nail clippers. The zip bag/pouch it came with was that of good/sturdy quality (feels like I can use/reuse for a long time if needed and without the clippers puncturing/damaging the pouch). The nail clippers (comes in a set: 1 small and 1 large pair of nail clippers) are smooth, matte-like in appearance, are very sturdy, and are of great quality (sounds still, but they look and feel very expensive). My fingers don’t slip around on the nail clippers when cutting my nails, the clippers don’t flip/flop/twist around when clipping nails, and the handle length is appropriate for what the nail clippers are intended to do. They are easy to use, easy to store away – especially in that zip pouch! Would definitely purchase again for future need, though these appear like they will hold up for a while 🙂 . Hope this is helpful for anyone doing extensive research (like I do, unfortunately, when it comes to every single purchase!) and wants to just finally pull the trigger on a pair of dang clippers. I’d purchase again and I have no regrets!

Clean design, comfy grip, plus no nonsense performance. The in built nail file is useful but the best surprise was the bright yellow soft storqge case – makes finding the clippers so easy in a busy make up bag or bathroom drawer!

I am not sure, but I got a metal generic tin with the clippers. However, I also bought the black variant that came with the branded yellow pouch you expect.I place photos of the silver ones with the metal tin, and the black ones with their properly branded boxes.There is a difference in the shape of the nail clippers. However I do like the “Clone” ones. The alleged clones (AKA the sliver ones) seem to have both a flatter cutting surface, nicer packaging with the tin, and weaker spring making it easier for anyone to cut nails. The silver ones have a smaller mouth, but I haven’t had any issues regarding that. Practically the same nail filer, except the large silver one is the odd one out with a slight different pattern. It has circle dots while the other 3 have a flower arrangement of the nail filer.I notice minor flaws in the logo of the silver ones, as well a few other deviations in thier design. Perhaps I am wrong, and these are indeed legit.One other person on here mentioned theirs came in a plastic bag, so I presume this is mostly a seller issue being dishonest, but regardless the product works as advertised (though more like a sheep in sheep’s clothing.. I know it sound weird)I will say this, they perform great, I just felt mislead in what I bought, but these are a great value, they work well, and comfy in the hands. So if you don’t really care about brands, buy them. If you do, than just hop, skip, and jump around for the right one.Edit: 2 –> 5 starsAfter a week ish of use, I notice that the clones cut better, have sharper and even blades, and are aligned properly. Taking a look at the original clippers, the blades are misaligned with an underbite and small burs on the blade. I am changing my review since the clones are actually better regardless of them being clones. Never thought that i find myself recommending clones over the original.
