Bad breath can keep you and your dog from the closeness you’ve always enjoyed. Now you can help keep your canine friend’s breath fresh with Milk-Bone Brushing Chews Daily Dental Treats. These chews feature unique nubs and ridges that are designed to clean like bristles on a toothbrush*, helping control tartar and plaque buildup through scrubbing action. Made with no artificial flavors and sealed for freshness, these chews have an irresistible minty taste your dog will love. They are fortified with calcium to help support strong bones and teeth–and have no artificial flavors. *When fed daily Milk-Bone Brushing Chews are as effective as brushing a dog’s teeth twice a week based on the reduction of tartar build-up. The Veterinary Oral Health Council recommends daily tooth brushing for optimal effectiveness.

Corgi Approved!
My 20 lb corgi goes insane for these and they seem to help with her teeth a lot. Her breath is way better when she has had one. They are pretty soft and she eats them pretty quickly so I prefer to expose them to air so that they get harder and it takes longer to eat.

Indy Dog’s favorite treats
Indy Dog anxiously awaits his morning treat when he knows these chews are in the cupboard. While the smell is strong, the taste must be great because he loves them, and they improve his breath.

Cheap and VOHC approved
My dogs love these. 3/4 of them get these in a size appropriate chew and go nuts when I ask if they want one (the other is allergic and gets a hypoallergenic alternative). The fresh mint scent is a nice touch, but not a deal breaker for me either. The girls get an appropriate amount of chew time with these. The best part of these are they are VOHC (veterinary oral health council) approved, meaning they voluntarily submitted themselves for testing to prove safety and effectiveness. They’re also one of, if not the cheapest chew on the list. These aren’t a replacement for routine dental care/cleaning at your vet, but they do help reduce the amount of tartar build up by at least 25-33% (VOHC minimum last I checked) to help improve oral health in the interim if brushing isn’t realistic. The only drawback to these (which is true for any dental chew) is how calorically dense they are. Treats should be less than 10% of daily calories. On the smaller end of the size spectrum, this translates to a chew every other day instead of daily. Around 50 pounds is where you reach a point where these are appropriate for daily treats calorie wise. Again, this is true for every dental chew I’ve ever seen, so it’s likely that the ingredients needed for decent chewing action are calorically dense and an alternative just hasn’t been discovered yet.
