Tasty and no chicken or beef!!!
My pitty mix (like so many pitbulls) has allergies to chicken and beef. Many “lamb” or “other protein” dog foods have some chicken in them. I’m so grateful for this food that doesn’t have chicken or any of the other possible food allergens (wheat, soy). Clover loves the taste, and it just looks like quality ingredients. I use this as a wet mix-in with her kibble that also has clean protein along with ancient grains (which my vet believes is important for her health). I’m so happy to have found this food.

My dog is obsessed with these
This dog food has a great pate-like consistency that blends perfectly with dry food. We mix it daily for our bulldog, and she absolutely loves it! One can lasts us 2-3 days. As soon as she hears the fridge open, she’s right by my side, eagerly anticipating me getting the can out. It’s clear she really enjoys the taste, and it’s become a part of her daily routine. Highly recommend for any dog who’s a fan of wet food!

Great stuff but needs some prep
Two of my small dogs use this as supplementary food. They’re both on meds that require food, and this is an easy way to make sure they eat post-meds.They love it, but the stuff is very watery when you open the can. Now, mine will enjoy it regardless, but I do prefer it firmer, as it’s easier to overfeed when it’s so soupy. Note that it smells stronger at room temp, so if you’ve got someone refusing to eat, room temp food is definitely more tempting to them. If that’s not a concern, a little bit of prep definitely helps.First, open the can. Grab a spoon or fork and carefully break up any clumps/chunks of meat.Then cover the can with one of those plastic lids for cans and refrigerate.Refrigeration will firm it up to a nice paté, and breaking the clumps beforehand ensures an even consistency. If you go through a lot of the canned stuff, however, it’s probably a better idea to refrigerate the lot, without opening. (Once you open the can, even with refrigeration the clock is ticking to spoilage.) The downside is there will be chunks, but it’s a lot better than the room temp soup.Good luck and give your furbaby an ear scritch from me! (Yes, a random Amazon user wants you to love on your dog. Do you really need an excuse? 😁)

Spoiled batch, dog got sick
I never write reviews but felt like I need to for this. I have had one order of the same food before and although many cans were a bit watery, the food smelled okay and my dog ate it and was fine. I placed a second order and this one was even more watery with barely any food in it and didn’t look great (looks like a lot of fat) but again smelled fine so I gave him a little mixed with Merrick’s dry food. My dog was sick within hours. There were no other changes to his diet so I know it was from this can. I’m returning the rest of the case and cancelled my subscription and would not recommend it to others.

My Pitbull loves Merrick
I ordered the 12 pack of the Lamb Limited Ingredient Diet canned dog food & I love the Merrick products. I also love how the lamb is deboned because other dog food companies leave the bones -> choking hazard for your pup. I have been feeding my pitbull Merrick for 3 months, but it got expensive buying from petco so I decided to buy form amazon. I don’t see a difference in the quality & a pro is that you save a few dollars. I got the same-day delivery & it came on time! I only found two cans with minor dents. The only bad thing I can say is the not-so-great packaging. In the box there was only airbags & nothing else for cushion.

My dog has allergies to all kinds of foods. It’s nice to see the ingredients have nothing she’s allergic to, and she loves this stuff . And is a little better buy than the stuff my wife was getting for her!
