Good for deshedding long haired cats
Works really well on my long haired cat. She’s not one for brushing, so she does lightly jog away while I’m brushing her, but I am still able to get a lot of hair out. It surprised me how it would come out in chunks. She does suffer from hair matting sometimes and this brush would mostly just get caught on the matting so I’d have to unhook it. It might be able to de-mat a sturdy dog, but a cat is delicate. (The vet got rid of the matting with clippers.) I think the brush is good for preventing matting though, by accelerating her shedding so the hair doesn’t get stuck. Very good brush overall.

Best grooming brush ever!
I have a retriever/husky mix, so you can imagine how furry Kitty is. Yes, my big dog came with the name Kitty. LOL I used the brush (I call it a rake) immediately upon arriving. Kitty loves to be brushed but she really enjoyed the rake. It got deep down and got the underfur. There was so much that you could have made another dog out of it. Seriously, if you have a furbaby that is furry, this is the product to buy. It works great and worth the money.

Fantastic
This works fantastic! I really wanted a brush with the attached vacuum but didn’t want to spend that kind of money. We recently adopted a German Shepard and he sheds EVERYWHERE. I was sweeping 3+ times a day and there was still hair everywhere. I have a one year old and don’t want her getting covered in dog hair while she plays on the floor and this was suggested to me. For $10, I couldn’t beat the price and I’m glad I bought it. I swear I brushed two piles of hair off of him that I could have made another dog out of. He feels much softer and after one day I have already noticed a significant decrease in the amount of shedding. Wonderful product and would highly recommend!

Love it!
I’ve tried so many different brushes for our shelties that were a waste of money that I didn’t have much hope for this inexpensive tool. It it worked wonderfully on their long, double-coats. One side removed loose hair and the other side cuts thick, tangle areas around their bloomers. It removed so much hair. The dogs didn’t mind it because it doesn’t pull much. It feels sturdy and should hold up well. I’m very pleased.

The Maxpower Planet Dog Rake/Brush is hands down the best floof remover I’ve ever used. Simple yet incredibly effective, it pulls out huge amounts of fur with almost no effort. I first spotted it in a YouTube reel on a German Shepherd page and immediately thought, “What in the world is that thing?” After zooming in on a screenshot, I caught the name on the brush—and the very next day I had one in my hands for under $10. Now, every time I use it, my backyard looks like it’s snowing fur. Even better, my Shepenois doesn’t seem to mind getting brushed with it, which makes the whole process effortless for both of us.

Works well on both cats and dogs, some like it, some not so fond. But that is totally a personality factor. Definitely helped with detangling the fur mats. Long hair short hair worked great with both. Good value, good grooming tool.

Pulls out so much fur its crazy!
This brush is no joke — it gets so much loose hair out, I couldn’t believe it. My dog has a thick coat that sheds like crazy, and this thing makes a huge difference. The double-sided design is awesome — one side for getting out tangles and the other for really pulling out all that undercoat.It doesn’t hurt or pull too hard, and my dog actually seems to enjoy it (which is a first). The handle feels solid and comfortable to hold, and cleanup is super easy — the fur just slides right off.If you’re tired of dog hair all over your house, you need this brush. It’s seriously one of the best grooming tools I’ve bought. 🐾🧡

My guy loves to be combed, however he is very sensitive to pulls
My Raggy has very long fur (4″) most everywhere and as he loves to be combed, although he is very sensitive to any sort of pulling on his skin. As you can imagine it takes a lot to keep him groomed , especially with 1-2 minute grooming sessions as that is mostly all he allows. My previous Raggy loved getting groomed and his favorite comb was a greyhound comb (long metal with wide teeth on half and skinny on the other), but I was wondering if there might be something out there that would work better with this guy and I came across this grooming rake. The package was incredibly easy to open and the item is 6 3/4″ long and the rake part is 2 3/4″ wide. My guy jumped up on his perch and preceded to make biscuits while I ran the widely spaced side (for detangling) all along one side of him. I have to say that I really was amazed with the amount of fur that was coming off him (especially since I’d combed him 2x already during the week)!! This particular Ragdoll has what my neighbor referred to as “cotton candy” fur as opposed to the more silky fur my previous Raggy had… so I’m not sure if this was the cause of a lot of the removed hair floating all over and clinging to my arms and legs, honestly I’ve never had that happen while combing a cat. I’ve included a photo of most of the fur that came off (as some of it floated all around) in that session. Oddly enough, my Raggy didn’t look less fluffy after his grooming session, perhaps in a couple of weeks of continued grooming I’ll notice the difference.The comb itself is pretty easy to clean, although there isn’t much hair that collects in the teeth (hair does cling all over the handle though). I’m not sure if it is just my Raggy, but every time I’ve used this on him the hair floats all over the room and clings to my arms and legs… not sure why because I live in the PNW and I don’t usually have an issue with static with anything else. It’s comfortable to use and the side with many teeth works well to grab the loose hair that seems to come out of the cat but not get caught in the wider teeth. This is the first summer that my Raggy rescue has been here, so I’m not entirely sure how his summer shed is supposed to go, but perhaps once I can get through that I will know more how effective this rake will be on a regular schedule.Update: This comb definitely did the trick for getting my Ragdoll’s undercoat under control, but I definitely have to comb him right after with the greyhound comb to get all the tuffs of fur off because they really don’t gather in this comb and still float all over everything unless I want to see the biggest hairballs on the floor. I definitely won’t be using this comb much except during the summer shed (if it’s ever as bad as this one, which I’m thinking had to do with how little he got combed previously as he had a bunch of mats when i got him as it can be hard to comb a biter).
