Some adult cats may not go for it…
The overall concept is innovative. However, not all adult cats will be ok confined to such a small space. My baby boy Storm felt trapped, trying to find his way out. I, myself, am claustrophobic and he probably felt the same way. I let him out when I realized the backpack feature was not going to work for him. It may be ok if you begin use when they are kittens and can become acclimated. The zippers work fine. It can serve as a regular carrier when expanded. There is an opening to the expansion itself so it makes it easier for the cat or very small dog to walk in from behind. However, I have found it easier to put him in by unzipping the bubble. Using the expansion entrance is tricky because while you’re trying to zipper it shut, he’s trying to get out! I will be using this as an extra carrier for car trips so he can see out. Also, it helps to have an extra carrier while traveling in case he gets sick and throws up or does the other thing. I am giving it 5 stars because it is well-made, as roomy as his regular carrier, he can stand up and lay down comfortably, room for a small food dish. Just because the backpack feature did not work for my cat, it may work fine for others….it depends on the pet.

Reliable with taking my cat places instead of an cage
I can’t recommend the Cat Carrier Backpack enough! I’ve been using this carrier for several years now, and it has truly stood the test of time. As a proud owner of a Maine Coon, I needed a spacious and sturdy carrier, and this one fits the bill perfectly.The XL size is just right for my fluffy friend, giving him plenty of room to move around comfortably. The design is both practical and stylish, with excellent ventilation and secure closures. I love how easy it is to put on my back, making trips to the vet or adventures in the park much more manageable.What really stands out is the durability. Despite regular use, the backpack has held up exceptionally well, showing no signs of wear and tear. The padded straps make it comfortable for long periods, which is a huge plus when traveling.Overall, this Cat Carrier Backpack has made transporting my Maine Coon a breeze. TSA and Airplane ride = SIMPLE!
We have a cat that loves to travel! She goes on car rides regularly. We recently booked a vacation rental that allows pets and needed a bag to carry her. We decided on this bag for a few specific reasons.Before making the trip, we set the bag in our home for about a week. All six of our cats we’re curious and took turns going inside of it to explore. The cat who travels was enticed with treats inside of the bag to help ease her to walk in on her own. She quickly fell in love with her new nap spot.PROS-1) The circle air holes allows for extra touch while on-the-go. It seemed to give our car security. We also could easily sneak small treats through the holes!2) The round zipper side opening is perfectly sized for our cat to go in and out of the bag. It was very helpful when going through TSA.3) The mesh expanding section allows for a little more movement without the hassle of a huge piece of fabric to tuck back into place.4) The padded straps and padded back was easy on my back/shoulders while walking through the airports.5) A cat in a bubble is just precious! Our cat is social and enjoyed watching the people as if she was being carried rather than in a “scary” bag.6) It fit perfectly underneath the seat on the airplane! We could see her and talk to her the entire time!7) It is sturdy. The material is heavyweight and the mesh is thick. The zippers are secure. This bag feels good quality but came at a fair price.CONS -I wish there one additional pocket to hold necessities. A small zipper pouch would be beneficial to put a cell phone and cards in. The mesh pocket held calming treats well for the trip but it wasn’t quite as adequate as what we needed.The only other thing that would be helpful would be a luggage strap to be able to set the bag on my rolling luggage securely.

Works well for my little chicken.
I’m not a cat person. I bought this for my chickens. I would think this would be too small for a normal size cat. It’s too small for my normal size hens, but it’s great for my little silky. It’s a good carrier if I need to take her to the vet. She is ill so I have to keep her isolated until we figure out what is going on. I like to let her stay in the carrier indoors for short periods of time to be with me. I can slip her treats through the air holes. She’s pretty calm. I don’t know if all chickens would handle it as well.

Everyone was obsessed!
Took my little 19 y/o 6lbs. Chi (Pixi) on our annual girls trip to Palm Springs. This was the best carrier I have ever traveled with! People loved seeing her and she loved being able to see what was going on. She was so cozy! I used it a few times after that as well. As her health declined, I would put her in it to do yard work and do my barn chores so she wouldn’t panic being alone.The only thing that might make it difficult if traveling is it’s a little wide and doesn’t quite fit all the way under the seat (Alaska), even squished down. The flight attendants didn’t care, but an anxious or slightly larger dog may not fit. See pic for reference.All in all- buy it! It’s awesome, breathable, expands to give more room, sturdy, has pockets for water and snacks, straps tighten and it has a chest strap for a nice secure fit.Highly recommend bending at the knees and avoid bending at the waist at all costs lol.

Nice but arrived broken!
I would have given five stars, but it arrived with a crack in its bubble. I’m too lazy and don’t have time to initiate a return because I pick up my new kitty princess 👑this week. I need a way to bring her home. Other than that it looks great, is well ventilated, and it’s comfortable to wear. I don’t think it would fit a rotund, adult kitty though. It was fair easily to assemble minus a sticky zipper to expand.
