Cats can’t resist them- an excellent way to lend a new kitten into the family
A young kitten decided he wanted me as he mom – not sure what happened to his real mom. It was just him cold weather roared in and I brought him inside with me 2 8 yr old boys and my 18 yr old Greyson. They weren’t interested in playing rough a tumble with this kitten and the feathers saved me. The 1 yr old chased ones tied to a pole an he run and follow me as I drug it through the house. He even adopted one feather to sleep with giving my older cats a reprieve, getting them a little exercise and bringing Kitter into to fold of the family. Well worth the money and they hold up well and my youngest son entertained!! Tired out and sleeps when we do now !!!

It’s feathers, it will break… feathers aren’t meant to withstand a cat attack
I don’t understand other reviewers saying this toy fall apart easily….The quality of the toys are fine, the feathers naturally will break off long before the rest of the toy falls apart. Feathers serve a purpose for the birds they come from, humans simply repurposing them for entertaining cats. You can’t make feathers “stronger” without a lot more glue and a lot less natural feather movement. When playing with a cat, their instincts will probably take over and OF COURSE they want to destroy it. I think whats important here is to consider how many feather toys you get with the price.I’ve seen feathers toys that are made from more corse feathers, but my adult cat doesn’t like those nearly as much.I take the bell off these toys easily because my cat doesn’t care for the bell sound. Thank goodness its easy to remove.

I originally bought the wand with the feathers 5yrs ago. The wand has stood the test of time; the “birdies”, not so much. 😁 This is my 2nd stash of extra birdies for my crew. When we bust out the birdies, every one goes into attack mode, ready to kill the birdie. It’s quite entertaining & great exercise for them. They also will attack the feathers when nobody is playing with it & drag it in my bedroom too show me their “kill”. They are quite proud when they catch the birdie or drag the birdie to me. I’ll take the fake birdies over a real one any day! 😁Oh – I attach the new ones with zip ties. They are easy to attach to the metal piece on my wand & easy to cut off when I need to make room for new birdies.
