Needed to update this inaccurate review
UPDATE: my previous review was apparently due to poor battery life… i thought i had put in brand new batteries and when the laser pointers didnt work i thought nothing of it .. maybe i got a fluke.. but since missing my return date i bought a new pack of batteries and tried them just in case. To my surpirse they are FANTASTIC and i was 100% WRONG in my previous review. The order came w 3 lasers, red, green and purple and they are AWESOME.. the pointer is light in hand and the laser light itself is bright and an instant favorite for my crazy kitten – which makes it a fave for me too..I’ll keep my previous review attached here but just to show the very clear difference. Unlike the 1st review I HIGHLY recommend these pointers… if you run into the same issue as I did and one or more of them are not working – go buy new batteries.. even if u think yours are new… try new batteries… and then try these again ..Original review:I think these were a total waste of money… I meant to send them back but life got in the way and I missed the date to do so … when they arrived only 1 worked.. the red one…. but even that one was just meh..me… the laser often just fades out and doesn’t have a steady light source… disappointing but tis what it is… save your money on this one and go with another laser choice… there’s only about a zillion others to choose from

Decent and the price is right.
All three look nice and having different colors for so cheap is cool. My cat loves chasing them. They are VERY cheaply made though, it’s hard to screw them back on after adding the batteries because the housing is so thin and how the threads are. Also I wish the click turning them on wasn’t so loud.

Mixed bag
The laser tube diameter is too wide and the AAA batteries wobble inside the tube. Feels cheap.Red laser has a light leak or damaged diode. Attached pic shows an arc/artifact. Power level seems fine.Green laser hurts your eyes. Definitely over 5mW and dangerous without goggles. Visible green beam and visible over extreme distances.Purple laser also hurts eyes even though it’s dim. Doesn’t work over long distances.

Product arrived late in evening. I unpacked them and in first half hour one of them stopped working. It would go from bright dot down to small dim dot and it was not the batteries. 2nd one went out fews days later and will not turn on at all. Also when I read the description I thought it said you could change colors for each one. That is incorrect. You get 3 of them with each having its own color. I was given a red, green, and purple one. The quality of the pointer is metal but they have problems with the internal parts that make it work.

Great for pre-writing activities!
I am a pediatric occupational therapist and many of my students need help with handwriting. Enter those laser pointers, some fun shapes and symbols on the wall, and they are begging to come to therapy! We start out the session with the child choosing a color (they come in green, red and purple) and then they follow the sequence of symbols along the wall, carefully tracing over them using the pointers. What’s great is they are reusable forever, and I can transform the activity just by adding new shapes/forms or letters on the white board. We also like to play “catch me if you can” and they have to follow my pointer dot with their own, working on visual motor skills. I suppose they could be used as a cat toy as well, but these have a permanent place in my therapy bag!
