Hill’s Science Diet Perfect Weight is the Best for your Pooch.
Hill’s Science Diet Perfect Weight, Adult 1-6, Weight Management Support, Small Kibble, Dry Dog food is the best we have found for our Fur Baby. We have tried various dry foods in the past and he just did not like them or they upset his stomach. We spoke to our Vet and they suggested Hill’s Science Diet. Let’s just say that he loves it and it’s easy on his stomach. The packaging is tough and solid. The Kibble is crips and fresh and not all broken and dusty. The quality is great. They did just change the shape of the Kibble from small round pellets to a triangular look. This hasn’t seemed to bother our pooch. The product arrived in a box. The bag was still intact and the expiration date was appropriate. Very happy with the purchase and recommend to everyone who is looking for a good diet based kibble for their dog.

Hills Science Diet Perfect Weight is our vets recommendation to keep our chubby Pug Mix pup nutritionally satisfied and maintain a healthy weight at the same time. Pugs are food motivated to an extreme degree but when we adopted this dog as a 3 year old, he came with anxiety over feeding. We tried different types and brands of foods at first to find a suitable food for him and chose this kibble to prioritize his health. Adding water to this kibble makes a great rehydrated meal for our dog. We also use a few pieces in between meals for a treat.I like the subscription delivery and pricing. Consistent good quality, sizing of kibble bits, and appealing to smell and taste. Our dog is thriving on this food and we can feed him with confidence he is getting the proper nutrition for his breed(s) and weight control.

I have a pug Chihuahua and a pug. These babies could eat all day! They gained a bit of weight a couple years ago. The vet suggested they be on a diet and have 1/3 cup twice a day. After a lot of research I decided to buy this particular food. It has been amazing! They lost all of the extra weight and another pound or two. No more problems with the vet! My dogs are picky and prefer the small bites so that helps too! Because I don’t think a 1/3 of a cup twice a day is enough, I add cooked veggies to supplement. Its very expensive but definitely worth it! My babies deserve the best!

Great product but there’s something you NEED to know first!
We have 3 smallish dogs and the vet mentioned that all 3 were getting a tab “thick” in the middle. I tried to convince his it was just excessive fur but, nope, he insisted a little slim down was in order. So, rather than cut their portions (which they begged me not to do), I tried this food out on all three of them. Note that I have always fed Hills Science diet so there was no “transition” to this new stuff … we just jumped right in. A day after the food switch, I went out of town for 4 days and returned to three pups who were already a bit leaner. Over the next week, I was shocked at two things: they all ate the food eagerly and continued to slim down. BUT, and this is a really big but …. they pooped 4 or 5 times a day (as opposed to their previous 2 times). No diarrhea nor even loose stool … normal poop, but a LOT of it. All three of them reacted the same way … so I suspect that this may be a very high fiber product that is intended to produce this effect. In summary: this really, really, really works for doggie weight loss BUT a change in routine will very likely be needed. If you leave your dog alone all day and expect no accidents, please don’t blame your dog!

Love Hills science diet
My 11 year old dog has been eating this for 6 years. He loves it and he has been in good health. Great value and I guess taste. But I don’t know fromPersonal experience

I’ve had my to smalls on this food for years. They aren’t losing weight but they aren’t gaining weight. The lack of no weight gain is not the food it’s me. I tend to over treat. The size is great. I order the larger kibble so they have to chew their food and hopefully help clean their teeth. They seem to like the taste whether it’s dry or I mix it with something else. The larger bags last us quite awhile. I do find it expensive for what you get but isn’t everything expensive for what you get?

First, it is hilarious that Amazon asks for a star rating on favour. I couldn’t tell you if it tastes good or not lol.I bought this food for my beagle after she was spayed because her vet warned me that she would be more likely to gain unhealthy weight after surgery. Apparently weight management is a common issue with the breed.Penny (the beagle) is a fussy eater who typically turns her nose up at kibble. She seems to really like the this brand and it has kept her trim. I do find she gets more hungry earlier with this kibble versus the Blue Buffalo I fed her before, but I understand that to be a high calorie dog food. I give her a bit more per serving and it all seems to balance out.
