perfect mixer for kitties who gobble food too quickly
My tortie-point Siamese thrives on a mixture of 1/3 Science Diet Hairball Light and 2/3 Orijen Six-Fish, + one small can of low-grain wet food daily. With Orijen alone she tends to eat the small uniform kibble too quickly and then “reintroduce” her dinner to me on the carpet 15 minutes later. The larger, chunkier Science Diet mixed in slows her down and keeps her from gobbling + she gets the upper and lower digestive benefits of the fiber in the Science Diet product. I don’t feed Science Diet exclusively because it does have a significant corn and wheat gluten ingredient and Willow tends to gain weight too easily if she gets very much grain-based food. With the current mixture I feel like I’m getting the best of both worlds: she has a gorgeous glossy coat and appropriate weight from the Orijen component, digestive benefits from the Science Diet component and she feels full and content after a reasonable portion size. We’re both happy.

    As Advertised
It’s the only thing my furballs eat. They still barf, but far less frequently than they used to, and they’ve even dropped some weight. Plus it’s cheaper and more consistently available here than at my local pet store. As an aside, it’s a little weird that Amazon suggests I evaluate the product’s chewability, texture, and softness seeing that I’m not the one eating it…

Worth the price for long haired cats
Our long haired outdoor cat, has never had an issue with tangled hair or weeds with this food. We used a different brand for a while to try to save money, all it did was mangle his hair so we switched back to this. More expensive but worth the price.

    Better for IBD
I have two Bengals a male that’s 4 and his sister that’s 3 and yes they are fixed. Poor KaChing the male suffers from IBD he has never had well formed stools. My vet has tried everything all types of diet changes and different medications. After reading lots of owners who’s cat did not respond to the same types of therapy but did well on this dry food I thought what have I got to loose. Who knew high fiber would have an effect on diarrhea he is feeling so much better. Neither has a weight or hairball problem but this seems to be the answer to loose stools.Update 2018 KaChing now 8 years old still on this cat food and perfect stools. He also gets a “Now Probiotic-10 25 Billion capsule every morning. This is a people probiotic I empty the content powder on to a plate and he licks it up. He begs for this every day.

Cat food for hairball – this works!
We have been using hill science products for our 3 cats about 2 years now. Overall, these seem to be easy to digest (no vomit after eating) and we have seen a reduction in the hairballs. Of course you have to keep up with the regular maintenance of brushing and grooming your pets but after having to clean up time and time again (remember 3 cats!) and then seeing a difference (I think it took maybe 1 month? ) we definitely noticed significantly less hairballs around the house. Amazon has a great price for these compared to competitors and our vets have highly recommended this product and seen much success with their other clients.

    Cat loves…
Actually I was planning to buy diet food but I made a wrong choice by mistake😁but My cat really loved it. I mixed the food with the old food and give to her but she is just picking out the new food in the bowl and leave the old one😁 and she wants more.We will see what is gonna happen if she gains weight😁

    Great food for the long-hairs
My cat is a 5-year-old 17-pound Maine Coon. He LOVES this food, and literally begs for it. It really does work with hairball control as well. I’ve been feeding him the hairball formula since he was a kitten, but one time I did try to switch to a more expensive, Maine Coon-specific food. I did the proper food swapping (25% new and 75% old, 50/50, etc), and once he was eating 75% Maine Coon-specific food, he started having massive hairballs. Never before had he had them. So I switched back, and the hairballs are once again under control. He’s not really overweight, he’s just a large cat. I feed him the light version because he likes to eat so much. He’s very healthy, and has a beautiful, silky coat which I attribute to the food.

I always buy Hills cat food for my cats. I have 3 cats. Always finding hair balls isn’t fun. I decided to try out this hairball control food and it’s been great so far and it’s been about 3 weeks and no more hair balls. And they all like the flavour.
