Hemp Calming Chews for Cats Anxiety, 200 pcs: I was optimistic that these treats would alleviate my cat’s grooming anxiety. While she may not excel in self-grooming, she does have a considerable amount of fur to maintain. I adopted her from a shelter when she was three years old. Her previous owners abandoned her due to the wife’s pregnancy and the husband’s unwillingness to manage the litter box. I got her from a shelter when she was three. Therefore, I assumed that the previous owners had not established grooming habits early on, which might have helped my girl become less fearful of a shedding comb or nail trim. Before these treats entered our lives, every time I brushed her resulted in wailing and gnashing of teeth, so I sought something other than Benadryl (which was traumatic for both her and me). Upon opening the treats, she had zero interest in them. I placed one down and left it there. She sniffed it and turned her nose up at it. I had a few of her regular treats left, so I added several calming treats to that bag and sealed it for a couple of hours before trying again. This method worked well as she gradually grew accustomed to the treats. She no longer needs to have a treat come from the old bag and will eat them straight out of the jar. I highly recommend giving that a try. It’s similar to transitioning your cat to a new litterbox. The smell has to be familiar. Do these treats actually calm my girl down? Absolutely! The last few brushes went really well, and I didn’t end up with scratches (I muzzle her to prevent bites), just vocal protest. With regard to the price, I believe it’s a pretty good value, but they are a tad over what I would prefer to pay, but I will continue to get these as they have made grooming so much easier on my girl.

Does wonders for kitty storm anxiety!
These treats are doing wonders for my cat and her storm anxiety! I’m so happy I found them. I know some cats are picky and won’t eat just any old treat, but if they will eat these, it’s worth a try! They are making storm season a lot easier for both of us—for her AND for me, who gets anxiety when I see my girl having a hard time. She eats two to three treats and is mostly able to go to sleep. She still gets a little worried about loud thunderclaps, but not nearly as much as before.

2 out of 3 cats love the taste!
I pick these because I have a cat that is very skittish and I was hoping they would calm her down. Only problem with them is my two other cats love the taste and the one I got them for will not eat them. They worked well for the other cats but because one wouldn’t eat them I’m not 100% sure about the taste. The pictures I added are of the two cats who would eat them. They were chilling after eating them. So they did work.

Cats didn’t like them….I have 2 cats and one of them ate the treats the first day, then she wouldn’t again…I didn’t notice for a week that it says to refrigerate after opening, they may have spoiled..the company should make that notification more apparent

Not a terrible product, but not effective (please precisely follow the instructions regardless)
It’s not a terrible product, but it didn’t work for my senior cat.She has trouble with harder treats, and these are not nearly soft enough, even after sitting in a far warmer and isolated area. I have to break them down to very, very tiny pieces for her to be able to eat them at all.It also doesn’t do much to calm her down. (Do NOT ever try to give your kitty more than what is recommended on the tub) She likes them okay enough, after I basically mince them for her, haha! But it definitely didn’t make a difference with her mood.I’m sure it has worked well for other cats, and it’s always worth a try if it can potentially help your kitty, but it is definitely NOT a guarantee.

My senior cat started howling at night, getting irritable with our household members, and having a lot of anxiety. These have been a game changer for him! He LOVES them and even “asks” for them, in the morning, before I leave for work. I will buy these again and again! He is calm, he is friendly again and he seems much happier! Definitely worth it!
