The BarkLimiter series -an intuitive electronic bark correction device designed by Garmin using proven technology from Tri-Tronics, the leader in electronic dog training for more than 40 years. Using innovative bark identification technology powered by micro electro-mechanical acceleration sensors, the BarkLimiter series is able to distinguish between barking and other vocalizations. Also exclusive to the new BarkLimiter series is Advanced Bark Correction Technology, which delivers consistent and instantaneous correction, while virtually eliminating false corrections caused by external noises. And it all works right out of the box with a convenient Auto rise setting that automatically programs the stimulation intensity level based on the barking behavior of each individual dog. Or, choose manual or vibration options for alternative modes of correction. This lightweight, compact device is the perfect training tool for any dog with nuisance barking. The BarkLimiter series offers two versions: the BarkLimiter, featuring a user-replaceable, long lasting (10-month) CR2 battery, and the BarkLimiter Deluxe, featuring a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, with each charge lasting up to 3 months.
Exclusive bark differentiating technology
Auto rise automatic bark correction
Bark Odometer, measures effectiveness by counting number of barks – Reduces false and over corrections
Integrated stainless steel contact points engineered to fit all dog breeds and all coat thicknesses

    Bad barking be gone
I have two border collies one that almost never barks in the other one younger and barks constantly. Moved into a new neighborhood with neighbors close by and the dogs are outside in a kennel and I needed to control the barking so I bought the Garmin hoping to see the results, but the Garmin exceeded expectations. Within 20 minutes, the barking ceased, and after a day never returned now the only barking is from the dog that never barks. to make the process of putting the collar on easier. Definitely recommend a different collar, one with a bungee cord or a snap buckle.

    Great collar
I tried 3 cheaper options before giving in and buying this thing. This thing is durable, and the battery on it lasts such a long time.Super easy to use with the dial. I was skeptical of as it doesn’t have a remote, and just always automatically corrects, but the correction trigger on these is very good.Stops barking effectively. Overall very happy with this, would definitely recommend.

Would be great for torture not so much for training.
This was a last resort for me. I am not for this but have no choice due to a zero tolerance for barking where I live. He has barking fits when we are at work apparently and needed to correct it. I tested it on myself first. I would never put something like this on my dog without feeling the effects first. At level 1 it is strong enough that it got my attention. Not painful but definitely uncomfortable. After I first put it on my dog it shocked him apparently because he was laying down and not doing anything. Made him yip. I decided to take it off and set it to vibrate( pathetically weak vibration) to see how many times it would activate and how many times my dog actually barked. After about an hour I removed it and checked how many corrections it gave. 6 times. Problem is he only barked once. I am glad I decided to test it this way instead of trusting the device would work as advertised. An absolutely horrible device that I am sure it would have traumatized my dog if it was on the shock setting while I was at work. He couldn’t care less that it vibrated. And if you read somewhere that there is an app, that is incorrect. It was discontinued years ago and is no longer available to download. It also uses USB-B mini for charging. That tech came out 24 years ago and is way outdated. This will be going back. I ordered a Dogtra nobark smart collar and hope it gives better results. I 100% do not recommend this Garmin at all.

    Works for my little dogs
I have barky little dogs, and this worked great. I only have to put it on as a reminder periodically and I don’t even have to turn it on anymore. Each dog has their own and yes, I would purchase again. Fast recharging. Holds the charge.

This collar has saved our dog
Yeah yeah yeah… bark collars are bad. But you know what? Sometimes you just have to make the tough choices for your pet.We moved into a new place and brought a 115lb dog with us. He’d never really been alone before (there were other dogs in the last place), so his separation anxiety was unbearable. For everyone. He’d bark for HOURS and pee everywhere and chew up his beds and… you get the idea. We had complaints from neighbors and I was worried we’d be kicked out of our apartment if it continued. We tried everything before going the bark collar route. We tried a crate, CBD, acepromazine, obedience training, daycare, thundershirts, calming music, essential oils, and a million other things… You name it, we tried it. It was like he thought the idea of being alone was literally going to kill him. I was about ready to give him up. Sure, that makes me a horrible person, but it would have been the best option for him. At the end of our rope, we tried a bark collar. The first one we got was from PetSafe, but it was only effective half the time. Even when it was put on securely and correctly, he’d shake his head (he knew what he was doing) and it’d scoot sideways and be ineffective. Our lives changed the day we got this collar. The longer prongs were able to reach his throat through all of his saggy neck skin. It not only shocks as a correction, but it vibrates and beeps to condition him into not even get started. We love the Canine app that it syncs to and use it regularly to adjust the type of correction we want. We started with auto-rise (starts at a level 1 correction and works its way up), but realized that it’s a downward spiral with him. Once he gets worked up, he can’t stop. He’ll bark and chew on himself and it won’t end, regardless of how many times he gets shocked. But then we realized that if we set it to a level 8, it stops him from even beginning to get worked up and whatever it was he was worried about, he forgets and just grumpily lays down. He doesn’t like it, but it’s a necessary evil to get his mind to stop focusing on his anxiety. I love that the app records the times and levels of the shocks. We have Nestcams and are able to go back to watch what it was that got him worked up and how many times he got corrected. At first, there were over 100 barks every day. Now we’re surprised if we have 3. And according to what we’re seeing on the cameras, he’s not even barking! He sort of starts whining and howling and the collar corrects him. It’s like he can’t get started without being corrected and that is EXACTLY what we want. Now for the minor drawback… The one and only thing I wish we could do would be to trigger a correction with the app, especially remotely over wifi. I often will check in on him via the cameras throughout the day and find him whining or chewing on himself or getting into the trash or whatever it is dogs do. I really wish the collar could be connected to wifi so that I could correct him from work or wherever I am. The app can connect to the collar from a pretty decent distance, so even if we could stand outside to wait for him to start getting worked up and then trigger a correction, that would be the best training tool. I know other collars have that feature, but it shouldn’t be that hard to build into this one.Overall, we’re overjoyed with this collar. I wish we could have just tried it in the very beginning so he wouldn’t have gotten stuck in his ways. The prongs are long enough (there are shorter ones in the kit too), it stays right on his neck, it gives a good jolt, rarely needs to be charged, and the app gives us such great information. It may have just saved my marriage and this dog’s life.

    AN ABSOLUTE GOD SEND
I recently got a a very sweet and very smart Lab who I quickly found out was a chronic barker especially at night. She would start barking and go on for hours. I had no sleep for over a week and was afraid the neighbors may call the Police. I taught her all the basic commands which she learned very quickly but nothing helped the barking. I tried everything including the Vet who gave me medication to calm her down. The medication did little. I went with this Garmin since it was a known company for electronics. When I got it I didn’t use it for over a week since I really didn’t want to shock her. However, at 2am one night I was desperate. All this stress and no sleep was actually effecting my blood pressure. And working herself into a tizzy each night wasn’t good for her either so I put the collar on her at 2am. The Vibration mode didn’t help. I finally worked up to #3 in the manual mode which stopped the barking. Every time she barked I told her No which I think helped her to understand the correlation more quickly between barking and getting zapped. By 3 am I was finally able to go to sleep. I don’t know what I would do without this. I was actually at the point of thinking I had to give her away or take her to a shelter. If you have a chronic barker and have tried everything else get this Garmin. Believe me you won’t be sorry. You’ll both feel better!

Great concept however my 1 y.o. German Shepherd didn’t respond to any of the 3 types of simulation. Even attached the longer probes to ensure they got theough her coat. Will be seeking a refund as have not seen any indication of response to “stimulation” ie. Shock mode.

Amazing product and it works. You can use your phone to set which function to use and how many barks is the tolerance. It will show the history of barks. My dog stopped barking 1 day after using it, and I only used vibration.

Highly recommend! Don’t wait to buy this. I have a Bluetick Coon Hound/American Bulldog mix (60 pounds) who barks regularly and loudly. We have tried training and less expensive bark collars to no avail. I finally decided to buy this collar and wish I had tried it years ago! After one day on the 2nd setting (of 7), our dog no longer barks. It’s unbelievable (for reference, she wouls bark even on the highest setting on the less expensive brands). This has relieved so much stress from my life, can’t recommend it enough! The only downside is the battery I’ve doesn’t seem to last nearly as long as they claim (10 months). We have had it about a month and have recharged it twice (which is still a significant improvement over other models).

I purchased two of these bark collars for usage on two different dogs; Both suffer the exact same problems. Here is an example;I took both collars out of the packaging. I configured the first collar with my Android device and set it aside while I configured the second collar. While the first collar was sitting idle in a quiet room, it registered 3 barks. I set the second collar down and checked back about 30 minutes later, and it, too, had registered barks while idle.I then fitted my dogs with the collars. One dog triggered an alert by walking up the stairs. One dog triggered multiple times while eating. Neither collar triggered when they had a barking fit over a squirrel.I have tried artificially activating these collars with noise and vibration (rubbing on my jeans) and sometimes they will trigger a beep, never have I felt it stimulate.Clearly unreliable.I have used 6 other collars of competing brands and all worked better than these. I’m very disappointed with this purchase.
