We used this for our dog. He kept opening up a cut on his head and when we used any other product he would scratch it off with his paws or rub his head on things and make it worse. Once we used the blu-kote he would leave it alone and it would have time to heal. Great product.

It’s Just Ok
This is a bit better then the Scarlett Oil – but same, stains everything insite. Flies didn’t flock to this one though. Again, used with other items, I think it works bettern than alone.

Aids in healing quickly
We always keep this product on hand. Over the years, we have had our share of occasional emergencies. A raccoon had gotten ahold of one of our chickens and ripped her backside open badly. I didn’t know if she would pull through or not. We sprayed this on her wounds and where her feathers were missing once a week for a month. Within 2 months, she looked almost back to normal. We used it on one of ducks feet also. She had stepped on something sharp that had cut her webbing. The hole remained but the edges of the wound healed nicely and quickly. We always keep this on hand for the “emergency” cabinet.

MUST HAVE for CHICKENS. They were pulling feathers causeing some bleeding. Blu~Kote worked to keep them from continue to reinjure the same areas. WEAR gloves this week stain your hands and cloths.

Excellent Product
If you have animals, and those animals do what animals sometimes do and get themselves scratched and scraped, you need this in your cabinet. This has been around a long time, and hopefully will continue to be around! I have used this product for years and years, or variations of it, on horses, goats, chickens, dogs, and a lizard that cut itself. You should wear disposable gloves, or waterproof gloves you will not mind being blue. This stains everything blue, but the animals will not lick it or peck it, it’s antiseptic and germicidal, so the minor injury will not become a major injury.
