This e-collar has been a great solution for managing barking. It charges via USB-C (finally!), feels very solid, and is super easy to use right out of the box—no phone needed, though the app is a nice bonus if you want extra control. My dog adjusted quickly and isn’t bothered by wearing it. Overall, it’s a thoughtfully designed, effective tool with great build quality.The Smart NOBARK uses advanced bark recognition that filters out ambient noise, so it only activates when my dog actually barks—no false triggers. You can toggle between modes like “Pager Only,” “Constant Level,” or progressive correction depending on your training goals. The collar remembers your last setting and recharges quickly via USB-C, with battery life that easily lasts several days. Bonus, when you power it off it reports the battery level on the screen. The app gives you detailed control over levels and logs bark activity, but it’s totally optional if you prefer to keep things simple. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable bark collar that can have expanded functionality. Also, there’s no question of its durability as Dogtra makes this to the same quality standards as their collars and remotes used on field trial and hunting dogs. I’ve had cheaper versions in the past that are in fact cheaper in every sense of the word.I initially thought there’s no way I’ll connect this to my phone but ended up doing so just to see what it offers. I think it’s a really cool idea that shows how much the dog barked at what time of day. It also serves as an e-collar using your phone as the transmitter. I have a stand alone e-collar but that’s a separate system this is a really cool addition just to have if you needed it.Both my kids are able to easily turn on and cycle through modes as needed and it has been a welcome addition to help train our dog. For reference the dog pictured is just shy of 100 lbs.

Our first 4th of July with no barking
My 7 year old German Shepherd Ruby has never been quiet for a day in her life. We finally decided to resort to a more extreme measure. She has been wearing this during the day since Monday, and today for Independence day my whole family was over and there were some fireworks down the street. No barking. She also has a habit or chasing her tail while barking and getting very rambunctious, this behavior has also stopped. That last part is actually kind of a big deal, because she would often manage to bite her own tail and cause injury, so if she actually stops doing that in addition to being quiet that’s a huge win.Before we put it on her, I tested it on my own arm at the maximum setting. The best comparison I can give is a mosquito or flea bite. You definitely feel it, but it doesn’t feel like a “shock” like you might get from accidentally touching a live wire.As for the device itself, the Bluetooth connection has been remarkably reliable and while the range isn’t amazing it always reconnects as soon as I get into the same room as her. It seems to do a good job detecting her barks, and doesn’t pick up any other noises. The collar is more than large enough to fit her and should be fine for a much larger GSD or similar breed.I only have a few small complaints. The biggest is that the material the collar is made out of is not great, and I don’t like that style of buckle. I much prefer collars where you can adjust the fit, then take them on/off with a simple clip without losing the sizing. We had a few instances the first day or so where she started to bark and we realized she wasn’t even able to feel the correction because it wasn’t tight enough. The second issue is with the app. For the most part the app is fine and easy to use, but I noticed it has a notifications page with reminders to loosen or tighten the collar and stuff… but it doesn’t do push notifications on my phone? Notifications aren’t turned off on the Android side, and I see no toggle in the app. I’m not sure if this is a bug, or if they really didn’t implement push notifications. Kind of pointless to have a notification I don’t see unless I’m looking at the app. Finally, the printed instructions in the box were not the complete instructions and didn’t include the most important piece of information I wanted: how to fit it properly. The only manual has that, but for some reason the printed version was only half the instructions and QR code. If you are going to bother printing it… print it all. Otherwise, just put the QR code on the box and call it a day.I do wish this had a physical remote like other collars do. It looks like models that have both a remote and barking detection are much much more expensive, which is why I compromised on the Bluetooth model where I at least could control it from my phone.
