On the packaging it says small dogs can have a half treat per day, but my dogs are much smaller, so we tear it in half, and then cut that in half so it is perfect. The smell is kind of minty, but these are the only minty smelling treats my dogs will accept so they must not taste bad. They understand the “do you want a dental?” question, since we have been buying these forever.The brand is good quality, you get what you paid for, and my dogs are satisfied so that is important to me.

Pun intended with the title of this. Okay, dogs… dog’s breath… Yuck, right? Yep. One of mine though has really, really bad breath. Their vet says there is nothing wrong as in bacteria, gingivitis, cavities, etc when I take them in for their annual dental exam and cleaning. A week later, back to being vomit inducing. Sigh.I have tried various natural dental treats for dogs through the years and so far, these dental jerky treats by DogsWell surpass my expectations.Natural ingredients and USA sourced chicken (so no hormones added) is the very first ingredient in their chicken jerky recipe. Coconut Oil, Parsley (what give them the fresh breath), spearmint oil, and dried seaweed (which adds to the mineral and vitamin content of these).They thoroughly enjoy this daily treat which I have replaced their “empty” treats with because not only are these dental treats, but pack a punch in the protein department with crude protein at 35% and crude fat at 25%. Too many treats isn’t good for fur babies anyways especially my old lady who could use to lose a couple pounds LOLLove the size of these jerky pieces, didn’t need to break them into smaller portions. I do recommend doing that if you have small or tiny fur babies. So far have had zero issues with their digestion and no changes to their bathroom moments (or consistency in this case).Very thrilled with the breath factor. Have been using these for close to a month and Mitzi’s breath is notable less gag-reflex inducing which is a win-win-win in my book.Going to be starting up a monthly subscription with these 🙂

Great dental chew for your pups
These have been my dogs’ favorite treats for a couple of years now. We do the subscribe and save and have used every bag we’ve gotten. They get so excited when we open the bag, so I know they love the flavor. I love being able to give them a treat that also cleans their teeth.

Devoured in no time, great smelling breath too
Dogswell dental jerky is a hit at home. These actually work to keep our pooches breath smelling good. It’s made with real chicken, made in the USA, is grain-free, and has spearmint oil. At first, I was ready with my camera and the dogs just didn’t want it. I just couldn’t understand why he devoured some other Dogswell treats before. I was a bit frustrated so I put them on the coffee table, with the bag open hoping he would go and sniff them and pull one out to eat, but nope they didn’t.The next day, I thought okay let’s give this a try again, and yet again he just turned his nose up to the sticks of jerky. I was baffled, I thought maybe they didn’t like the smell of spearmint oil. I pretty much gave up again trying. Later in the week I was sitting on the couch and I had the bag on the coffee table again, and I thought heck with it, I’ll put a few on the table, and to my surprise, Rusty grabbed one and started to chew, he devoured it.I was so excited I didn’t have my camera around but all I know is in time they love the dental chicken jerky. I will return in a month or so and give an update and see how he is liking it. I’ll try to catch it on video as well. Rusty is not camera friendly LOL. I was so happy to see that he warmed up to it in his own time. I think that is what counts is that he did turn out liking it. Well done Dogswell, you have a customer for life.

Tasty Dental Treats, but They Go Too Quickly!
The DOGSWELL Dental Chicken Jerky has been a hit with my dog! These treats not only taste great but also help support dental health, which is a huge bonus. The texture is just right for chewing, and I’ve noticed my pup enjoys them and looks forward to treat time.However, the 12-ounce bag doesn’t last very long, especially with a big dog who loves them. They tend to go quickly, so I find myself needing to restock more often than I’d like.Overall, these are high-quality, tasty dental treats that I feel good about giving my dog. If your pup loves chicken jerky and you want to support their dental health, these are a great option—just be prepared for a speedy finish!

Monty The Picky Eater Gives Four Paws Up Rating
Mr Monty The Picky (eater) gets one of these when he finishes his bowl as a reward, treat, and dental aid. He is head over heels in love with these treats, his picky self dissolves and evaporates the minute that he hears the bag open, even if he is on the third floor (these are on the first floor), all 60 lbs of himself hurtles down the stairs at break neck speed for treats, treats, treats. I am so glad I found these, he adores them, they do have some dental value, the size is perfect for breaking in half for the smaller dogs, and he does look forward to them and has cleaned out his food bowl more often than not knowing he will get one of these as a treat if he finishes his dinner bowl. No adverse stomach or intestinal reactions from any of the dogs, great price point for the volume of treats provided.
