Arranged so you can actually find things
Most calorie books are laid out in categories, which takes longer to find what you are looking for. This one is alphabetical. Logical. And this has total carbs, net carbs, protein and fat all laid out for you. Great Find.

Low Carb for the Kindle
When it comes to carbs, Dana knows her stuff. This counter is just what I was looking for – a handy reference I can keep on my Kindle for those times when I just need to know what’s in the food in front of me. Not only is it handy, but it clearly lists useable carbs as opposed to total carbs, which other counters don’t place the same importance on.The only drawback I can see is that the tables show as images, not searchable text. Still, I am very pleased with the quality of this information and presentation and I can’t beat the iphone/kindle convenience of this counter.

Pocket sized small type but tons of info
Looks interesting…..allot of info pretty small type so well see howcwell this blind Ole lady can do with it. Sad thing is back cover is tore & I’m so kinky about my books. Two others I ordered were plastic seal so I guess cover on this got torn as was stuffed in with numerous items 😞

Not the best choice
My son is a type 1 diabetic so we weigh and measure everything we cook for carb and protein counts. My only complaint is that there are a lot of items that say “1 cup” or “1/2 cup”. That isn’t accurate enough for us to calculate his insulin needs. My fault. I should have paid better attention. Just a heads up for those who need to count kg or oz.

Life Saver
This book has been a literal life saver for me. I am diabetic and was recently put on insulin. Everyone with diabetes knows how important it is to count carbs! This book is quite comprehensive in listing most food on the American diet and half the book is dedicated to fast food restaurants, so you’re never left wondering how many carbs you’re consuming. Contains info on carbs, calories, protein, fat and fiber. Dana Carpender has put together a very informative and handy reference in this small book! I keep it with me wherever I go to eat!

New carb counter book
I gave this book only 1 star because half of the book is restaurant information which makes the book not so small to keep handy or throw in my purse for outings. That was disappointing. I do like that it has the total carbs, net carbs, fats, protein & calories though.
