The cats actually like it!
Ours cats are the type that love using boxes more than beds we buy them, but I took a chance on this one hoping to find one I could use behind me while I work so she feels included. Worked like a charm. Even when I brought it the the living room she got in even faster! You can see she has eschewed the cardboard box she was sitting in all last night for it. I have ordered a second one lol, one for my office (first photo) and one for the living room so the other cat can use one 😂 I did follow the directions that came with it first which involve not using it for 48 hours as it expands from its vacuum packing. Easy to follow instructions but if you aren’t careful you might miss the paper they are on!

Kitten treats it as a play house…
So I got one of these a year ago (from a different seller) to help a feral outdoor cat stay warm during winter. I put it under a covered shed and within 24 hours, that cat plus other strays used it as a litter box. I had to throw it out and I said I’d never get another one. Fast forward to today where I have taken in a rescue kitten (who is the nephew of the feral cat I described). Jack, though sometimes mischievous and annoying af with sneak attacks and bites to my feet, is a pretty smart guy. He took to his litter box even when he was a tiny kitten. He’s 5 months old now and I figured I’d get him this to sleep in and to keep him out of my bed. That plan was a fail. But at least he didn’t use it as a litter box. He uses it as a play fort or play house. He goes in and out with his favorite toys…the ones that squeak. It’s kind of cute to see him peek out as if he’s worried someone is going to come for his stash of treasures. I would rate it 5 stars but it won’t stand as straight as the picture. It’s actually a little floppier than the first one I had that I threw out. That one had a hard covered insert for the bottom (possibly made of thick cardboard) that made it stand up straighter. For this one, the bottom insert is just the same fabric it is made of sewn into a square. So it’s a bit more floppy than I wanted, but for the cheap price and the fact that Jack likes his “man cave”, I give it a solid 4 stars. Good purchase all in all.

Bought as a gift
I got 2 of these in 2019 for my cats and wow have they gotten a lot of use. I tried at one point to upgrade to something *cuter*, but no go. I had to put these back. So we are having some major construction in the neighborhood. My neighbor’s cat has been struggling with the noise so I bought this for her. I don’t even know if she will use it but it’s worth a shot.

Nice Cat Hut
My cat did not like this as a bed, but he loves it as a play hut. Instead of being out in the open, he likes to go in this thing and stick his paws out the front. I think he gets overstimulated sometimes, and this helps cut down the input to a manageable level. He doesn’t want to stop playing, but he doesn’t always like things coming at him from multiple directions.Be aware that this hut is super lightweight. The first time he got inside and started playing, the whole thing went flipping across the floor. He was cool with it, but a more skittish cat might get freaked out. The big loop on top is helpful when I play with him, since I can easily grab it to keep everything more or less upright. I sometimes come home to find it halfway across the room because he was playing hard while I was gone.

New purpose!
This is a really nice product. I bought it for my new kitty. He wasn’t interested, but then I was having a problem with my little dog trying to get to the kitten’s food. As soon as I placed the kitten’s dish inside, the problem was solved. Kitty will sometimes sleep inside, so happy ending and a good purchase. It comes well packaged and fully assembled. You Just unfold, pop it up tada! Nice color choices inexpensive!

I have two of these now. These are the best as when it’s cold they like to go into the cave and when it’s warm enough or they don’t feel like going inside something they step on the tent and it flattens out into this cozy bed. Can’t recommend these enough.
